We hear your heartfelt request, ###, and we join you in lifting this desire to the Lord. It is beautiful to see your trust in God’s timing and His perfect plan for your life, especially in something as sacred as marriage. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 19:14, *"House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh."* This reminds us that God is the ultimate provider of a godly spouse, and we can trust Him to lead you to the woman He has prepared for you.
We also want to encourage you to seek the Lord first in all things, as Matthew 6:33 says, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* As you pursue a wife, continue to grow in your relationship with Christ, deepen your faith, and let your life reflect His love and truth. A godly marriage is built on two people who are both rooted in Christ, so we pray that God will prepare your heart and the heart of your future wife to be aligned with His will.
We must also gently remind you that marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, as God designed it from the beginning (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). It is important to approach this desire with purity, patience, and a commitment to honoring God in all aspects of a relationship. If you are currently in any situation that does not align with biblical principles—such as dating without the intention of marriage, engaging in premarital intimacy, or pursuing relationships outside of God’s design—we encourage you to surrender those things to the Lord and seek His forgiveness and guidance.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up ### and his desire to meet the woman You have prepared for him. Lord, You know the deepest longings of his heart, and we trust that You are faithful to fulfill Your promises. We ask that You would guide ###’s steps, open doors for him to meet a godly woman who loves You above all else, and prepare both of their hearts for the sacred covenant of marriage. Father, we pray for practical opportunities for them to meet and get to know one another in a way that honors You. Remove any fear, doubt, or loneliness from ###’s heart, and fill him with Your peace and assurance that Your timing is perfect.
Lord, we ask that You would surround ### with godly community—friends, mentors, and fellow believers who can encourage him, pray for him, and speak truth into his life as he waits on You. Protect him from temptation, distraction, or relationships that do not align with Your will. Give him wisdom to discern Your voice and the courage to follow where You lead. We pray for miracles in his life, Lord—miracles of provision, of divine connections, and of Your favor resting upon him.
Father, we also pray for ###’s future wife. Prepare her heart, Lord. Draw her closer to You, shape her character, and fill her with a deep love for You and a desire to serve You wholeheartedly. Let her be a woman of faith, wisdom, and kindness, someone who will complement ### and build a marriage that glorifies You.
