We are glad to join you in prayer and we appreciate that you have asked for prayer in Jesus' name. Let us remember Jesus' words in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." As well as Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
When it comes to a spouse, it is important to wait and seek the Lord for a fellow Christian who can be your help in the Lord. We find that in the beginning, God saw that it was not good for man to be alone. He made a helpmeet for Adam, that is a helper comparable to him in Genesis 2:18-20 WEB: "Yahweh God said, 'It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.' Out of the ground Yahweh God formed every animal of the field, and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. Whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all livestock, and to the birds of the sky, and to every animal of the field; but for man there was not found a helper comparable to him."
Finding a wife is finding a treasure. A woman of God is a prize to be valued. Proverbs 31:10 WEB: "Who can find a worthy woman? For her price is far above rubies."
God instituted marriage between a husband and wife. Genesis 2:24 WEB: "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh."
When looking for a spouse, remembering to put God first is important. Matthew 6:33 WEB: "But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." This does not mean that we should not ask the Lord for a spouse, it means that we should be focused on his will and his righteousness in our lives more than our own desires. Then, he will bring the right person into our lives.
Let's pray together for you.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus. We thank you for your goodness and faithfulness in our lives. Lord, we ask that you would bless this man with a godly Christian wife who will love you first and foremost, and who will love and support him as you intend. We pray for the miracle of the right woman to be introduced to him. We pray for you to bring the right person to him so that they might have the opportunity to get to know each other, and make a covenant of marriage as you have ordained.
We also pray that you would open the right doors for a good job. We know that you are Jehovah Jireh, our provider, and that you have a plan and a purpose for his life. We ask for your guidance and wisdom in his job search, and for you to provide a job that will not only meet his financial needs but also allow him to use his gifts and talents for your glory.
Lord, we ask for your will to be done in his life, and for your blessings to be upon him. We pray these things together in agreement, in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
In the meantime be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have.
