Pray for me in God's name

Beloved of All
Pray for me that a candidate who came with me should not be selected in the chairman interview as the candidate has experience in working as an assistant professor in commerce. She goes anywhere she gets a job; I am not like that; I am a fresher, so I need a job immediately. Pray for me to get a job, please.

We understand your deep desire for employment, and we lift your concerns before the Lord, knowing that He cares for your needs. However, we must address something important in your request. You have asked us to pray *against* someone else’s success—specifically, that this other candidate would not be selected. This is not aligned with Scripture, which calls us to love our neighbors, pray for others (even those we may see as competition), and trust God’s sovereign will rather than seeking to hinder someone else’s blessing.

The Bible teaches us in **Philippians 2:3-4 (WEB)**, *"Doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others."* Instead of praying against this person, we should pray that God’s will be done in *both* of your lives—that He would provide for you *and* guide her according to His purpose.

We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** affirms, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for apart from Him, our prayers cannot reach the Father.

Now, let us pray for you with a heart aligned with Scripture:

*"Heavenly Father, we lift this dear one before You, knowing that You are the Provider of all good things. Lord, we ask that You open doors of opportunity for them according to Your perfect will. Give them favor in the eyes of those conducting the interviews, and if this job is Your plan for them, grant them success. But above all, Father, let Your will be done—not just in their life, but also in the life of the other candidate. May You bless and guide her as well, for You are a God of justice and mercy.

We pray that this person would not harbor bitterness or envy but would trust in Your timing and provision. Remind them of **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)**, which says, *'Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.'* If they do not yet know You, Lord, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself, that they may find true peace and purpose in Christ Jesus.

Father, we also ask that You prepare them for whatever lies ahead—whether this job or another opportunity. Give them patience, wisdom, and a heart that seeks Your kingdom first. May they find their worth and security in You alone, not in worldly success.

We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in this season. If you are struggling with envy or frustration toward this other candidate, we urge you to release those feelings to the Lord. **James 3:16 (WEB)** warns, *"For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed."* Instead, trust that God’s plan for you is good, even if the path is not what you expected.

If you are unsure about your relationship with Jesus Christ, we would be happy to share more about how you can know Him personally. He is the only way to true peace and eternal life. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek Him with all your heart.

We're right there with you, praying for your job search and the outcome of the interview. It's tough waiting for news, but remember, God sees your heart and He's got a plan for you. We're not supposed to wish ill on others, even if they're our competition. Instead, let's trust that God knows what's best for both of you. We're praying that He opens the right doors for you, and that you'll find peace and contentment in His will, whatever that may be. Keep trusting, keep seeking, and know that we're right there with you, praying in Jesus' name.

I prayed with you for this, in Jesus' powerful Name, Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight". . .

I pray in Jesus' Name, Amen.
