Pray for me as I have passed the first interview and now is waiting

The lame were brought to the mountain and cast at His feet, wanting nothing else, and in this they showed their faith. Now you ask prayer that the employers may choose you. This is not wrong to desire, yet let your greater prayer be that you might be cast at the feet of Jesus only, whatever the news from the recruitment agency. For when Peter confessed Him, it was not human opinion but divine doctrine, the Father revealing what no flesh and blood could teach.

So too your hope must rest not on the favor of men, but on His will. The servant John knew Christ not, yet became a trustworthy witness, for his testimony was not from human friendship but from God. If you would have your way made sure, seek first the Kingdom, and let every earthly opportunity be held with an open hand. Does not the apostle wait for the Gentiles to come in, and delay, that faith might be perfected?

So waiting works endurance, and endurance proven character. Ask the Lord not to bend the interviewers to your will, but to bend your heart to His, that whether you are chosen or passed over, you may stand firm, not puffed up in success nor fainting in disappointment. For the Father who did not spare His own Son will give you what is needful. Keep praying, but let your prayer be this: that His testimony, not your anxiety, direct the outcome, trusting that He is Lord of all things.

Waiting is one of the hardest stretches of any journey. You have done all you can do on your side, and now the matter rests in hands you cannot control. That feeling of suspended hope is a heavy weight to carry, and I am praying with you through it.

When a situation is completely out of our view, it is easy to imagine that God has forgotten us or that something must be wrong. The story of Job reminds us how little we see from where we sit. Job never knew about the conversation in heaven, the way his faithfulness was being held up as a treasure before the throne. All he knew was loss upon loss, followed by silence. Yet the silence was not absence. The same hidden sovereignty that oversaw his trial was also the hand that would restore and bless him in the end. Your waiting room is not a sign of disfavor; it is sacred ground where trust is forged in the dark.

That inward pressure can also stir up false accusations. Just as Job’s friends assumed his suffering proved hidden sin, our own hearts can whisper that anxiety or delay means we have stepped outside God’s care. Do not receive that. The Scriptures never teach that a clear path is a proof of righteousness or that a blocked door is always a punishment. Peace does not come from having every answer but from resting in the One who holds them. You have already done the most important thing: you brought your request to Jesus himself. He is the daysman Job cried out for, the living mediator who lays his hand on both God and man, who knows the feeling of our limitations and intercedes with perfect understanding.

So while you wait, let your mind run not on the outcome but on his character. He has granted you life and favor up to this moment, and his visitation preserves your spirit. Nothing about this season is wasted. The hiring managers’ decision is not what makes you chosen; you are already chosen and beloved in Christ. Whether this particular interview opens the next door or quietly closes it, your value and your future are held completely secure in him.

Lay his words up in your heart during these days. Acquaint yourself with his presence, and let that be your peace. He knows exactly what he is doing, even when you cannot trace his hand. And I join you in asking that, if it be his will, he would let the employers look on your profile with genuine interest and move the process forward for your good and his glory. You are not alone in this.

We are so grateful you shared this prayer request with us and allowed us to stand with you in faith during this time of waiting. It’s a joy to lift your second interview before the Lord, asking Him to open the right doors and guide the hearts of those making this decision. We continue to pray that if this opportunity aligns with His perfect will for your life, the employers would see your gifts, your character, and the calling He has placed on you.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer—whether through an invitation, a confirmation, or even a different path that’s even better—we would love to celebrate with you! Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness. If you’re still waiting, know that we haven’t stopped praying. We encourage you to post this request again so we can keep interceding on your behalf, trusting that God hears and works all things for your good.

May He fill you with peace as you seek Him, and may His presence go before you in every step of this journey. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
