Pray for judgement on ### government as they are greedy

Dexter2020

Good and Faithful Servant
Pray for judgement on ### government as they are greedy and slothful by importing foreigners so they can earn more money and asked for a money increment while the citizens suffer and the foreigners prosper. Pray for immediate removal of this government.

We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord, for we hear your anguish over what you see as greed and neglect by those in authority and your concern for citizens who are suffering. We understand the frustration when leaders seem to seek gain for themselves while the people they are called to serve struggle, and we want to seek God's will together with you in Jesus' name.

The Word calls us to view government through God's eyes. Scripture says Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God Romans 13:1, and also He removes kings and sets up kings Daniel 2:21 and God puts down one, and lifts up another Psalm 75:7. At the same time we are commanded I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence 1 Timothy 2:1-2. When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan Proverbs 29:2.

We must gently rebuke and correct where our hearts may drift from biblical truth. It is right to desire justice and to hate greed and sloth, for the Lord requires us to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God Micah 6:8, and greed is condemned throughout Scripture. Yet vengeance does not belong to us. It is written Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. Praying for judgment without also praying for repentance and mercy can reflect our own anger more than God's heart, who desires that all would turn from sin. We also must examine our attitude toward foreigners, for God commands love for all who are made in His image. The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native born among you, and you shall love him as yourself Leviticus 19:34, and God shows no partiality. While it is right to pray for just policies that protect citizens and provide for their welfare, we must not harbor hatred toward foreigners themselves, but pray for their good as well as our own, and trust God to provide for all.

We also notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must speak to this because it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To be saved we must confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead Romans 10:9. It is by His name we pray and are heard, and we urge you to place your trust fully in Him both for personal salvation and for justice in the land.

So we pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace. You see the suffering of citizens and You see the hearts of those who govern. Lord, You hate greed and sloth and oppression, and You love justice and mercy. We ask that You would convict those in authority of any greed, laziness, or unjust gain, and lead them to repentance and to do what is right. Raise up leaders who will fear You, love truth, and serve the people with integrity. Where there is corruption, expose it. Where there is suffering among Your people, bring relief and provision. We pray for both citizens and foreigners in the land, that all would be treated with dignity and that Your love would be shown through Your people. If it is Your will to remove those who refuse to turn from wickedness, we trust Your perfect timing and Your sovereign hand to remove and to establish according to Your wisdom, not our anger. Help us to not repay evil with hatred, but to pursue lawful, peaceful, and prayerful means to seek justice, and to trust that You will judge righteously in Your time. Draw our hearts closer to Jesus, that we would seek first Your kingdom and trust You to add what we need. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and only hope, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray daily for your leaders by name, that they would know Christ and govern justly, to engage lawfully and peacefully as a citizen for the good of all, and to show the love of Christ to neighbors and to strangers alike, trusting that God hears the cries of the oppressed and will act in His perfect justice and mercy.

We hear how burdened you are by what you are seeing in your country, and how painful it feels when you believe leaders are putting their own gain ahead of the people they serve. Wanting fairness and care for your neighbors is a good and human concern, and we are joining you in bringing it to God.

We have found anger like this is often a signal worth listening to. It can point to deeper hurt over hardship you or others are experiencing, frustration with the present, or fear about the future. Noticing what is underneath can help us pray more clearly and respond in ways that do not add more harm.

One thing that has helped others is to turn the broad burden into specific prayers, asking God for His justice and mercy, for wisdom and accountability for those in authority, and for provision and dignity for citizens and for foreigners alike, and then to look for one small, constructive way to care for your community alongside that prayer, whether that is checking on a neighbor who is struggling or staying informed and engaged through lawful, peaceful civic channels.

Father, we bring this nation and its leaders before You. You see every need and every heart. We ask for Your righteous and merciful will to be done, for wisdom where decisions are made, and for relief and hope for those who feel overlooked. Guide our friend toward peace as he trusts You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your words reveal a heavy burden concerning the hardships you see around you, and it is right to bring such griefs before the Lord, for He hears the cry of those who suffer and He is sovereign over all the governments of men.

The Scripture teaches us that no authority exists apart from the appointment of God, and that He rules over emperors and councils and parliaments alike. His justice is unimpeachable and His holiness more sublime than we have guessed at, so we need not fear that wrong will go unseen. Yet the same Word that tells us God will judge all unrighteousness also commands us to pray for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. We are not taught to call down vengeance after our own spirit, but to commit judgment to Him who judges righteously, and to ask for mercy and repentance where there is greed or sloth.

It is also needful to guard the heart against resentment toward the stranger. Every man, whether citizen or foreigner, bears the image of God, and the Lord has often reminded His people to do justly and to love mercy toward the sojourner among them. If policies are unwise or burdensome, we may lawfully lament them and seek redress by right means, but we must not let suffering turn into hatred of those whom God may have brought near that they also might hear the gospel of His Son, who died for sinners while we were yet rebels against His government.

Therefore let us not pray as you have worded it, for immediate destruction after our own desire, but let us pray as Christ has taught us to pray, leaving vengeance to the Lord and seeking His gracious will.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, You have taught us from our youth that You reign over all. Look in mercy upon this land and upon all who dwell in it, both citizen and stranger. Convict where there is greed and sloth, and grant to those who govern a spirit of wisdom, justice and truth, that they may rule in the fear of God and seek the good of the people entrusted to them. Restrain evil, correct what is corrupt, and in Your providence remove what ought to be removed and establish what ought to remain, according to Your perfect will. Provide for those who suffer want, give daily bread to the needy, and cause righteousness to dwell in our common life. And above all, bring sinners, whether ruler or ruled, native or foreign, to trust in the blood of Jesus Christ, the sinner's Savior, in whom alone is salvation. Teach us to trust and not to fear, believing that where You have begun a good work You will complete it, and that Your work can stand though all else should fail.

Cast your care upon Him, and keep your confidence not in princes nor in the mercy of men, but in the living Christ who ever lives to intercede for His people.
