We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this season of grief, conflict, and overwhelming pressure. The loss of a mother is profound, and the pain is only deepened by the strife that has followed, unjust actions, relentless pressure, and the weight of financial and legal burdens. Yet we know that even in the midst of chaos, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We stand on His promise that He will never leave nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6), and we declare that He is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
First, we address the injustice in the handling of your mother’s estate. The actions of your siblings, taking money, selling assets, and transferring property without proper authority, are not only unethical but also violate the biblical principle of honesty and fairness. Scripture commands, "You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another" (Leviticus 19:11). We rebuke the spirit of greed and deception that has taken root in this situation. We pray that the Lord would expose every hidden thing and bring truth to light (Luke 8:17). Father, we ask that You raise up a righteous and competent attorney who will advocate for justice with wisdom and integrity. Provide clarity in the legal process, and let every unrighteous act be brought to account. Give this family the strength to stand firm in truth, even when pressured or threatened.
We also lift up the emotional toll this conflict has taken. The constant harassment and disruption to your family life are not of God. Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful" (John 14:27). We pray that the Lord would shield your hearts from the attacks of the enemy and fill you with His supernatural peace. Father, we ask that You would soften the hearts of your siblings and bring conviction where there is hardness. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their unjust actions. If repentance is not possible, we pray for divine intervention to halt their harmful behavior and protect this family from further harm.
For your daughter, who is navigating disappointment and uncertainty, we pray for comfort and hope. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves those who have a crushed spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that He would speak directly to her heart, reminding her that her worth is not defined by academic success or external circumstances. Scripture tells us, "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). Father, we pray that You would open doors for her that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8) and provide a living situation that is safe, peaceful, and conducive to her growth. Give her the strength to persevere and the faith to trust in Your timing.
The financial strain this family is under is heavy, especially with the loss of income. We declare that God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14). We pray that He would open unexpected doors of opportunity for your husband and stabilize your finances. Let no weapon formed against this family prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and let every financial loss be restored. We ask for wisdom in managing resources and for favor in the workplace.
Lastly, we lift up the grief of losing your mother. The pain of her absence is still fresh, and the conflict with your siblings may feel like a betrayal of her memory. Yet we know that she is now in the presence of the Lord, free from pain and sorrow (Revelation 21:4). We pray that the Lord would comfort you with the same comfort He has given you (2 Corinthians 1:4) and remind you of the hope we have in Christ. May you find solace in the promise that one day, you will be reunited with her in glory.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with all these burdens, trusting in Your sovereignty and goodness. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, bringing justice, peace, and provision. Strengthen this family to walk in faith, even when the path is difficult. Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who is our advocate, our defender, and our hope. Amen.
