We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of faith, lifting up your husband and all those in need of healing. The Word of God assures us that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on this promise, believing that the Great Physician hears our cries and will restore health and wholeness according to His perfect will.
Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray for the complete healing of ’s husband. Lord, You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26), and we ask that You touch his body from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. Strengthen his stomach, soothe any discomfort, and restore every part of him to full health. The Great Physician is near, and the very leaves of that Tree of Life which is Christ are for the healing of the nations. You cry for your husband’s tummy and whole body; know that there is not a word that fell from His lips but bears healing for some malady of our humanity. Yet we must always remember that pardon and healing are one. When Jesus saw the man sick of the palsy, He first said, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” Seek then the forgiveness that removes the root of every disease, and trust the whole Christ, for a divided Saviour is no Saviour at all. Feed on a whole Christ as the Israelites ate the whole Paschal lamb, leaving nothing out.
I pray now: O Lord, who art a Husband to Thy people, reveal Thyself as the Healer of this dear husband. Let the Sun of Righteousness rise upon him with healing in His wings, restoring his body from every ailment. Touch also the one who prays, and grant her full health. We ask not for these alone, but for all in every place who languish, send forth Thy Word and heal them. When Christ touched the body of Peter’s mother-in-law, He not only quenched the fever but gave her back perfect health at once. No physician’s art could have done this, for even after fevers leave, the sick still need much time to regain strength. But with Him, all was restored in a moment. So I will pray in Jesus’ name that He heals your husband’s tummy and his whole body, just as He healed her, and grants health to all who are in need.
The body is a member of Christ, and Christ is risen; therefore the body will surely follow the Head. The husband is the head of the wife, and Christ is the Savior of the body, He is the saving health of it. So bring your husband before Him with confidence. Remember the woman at the well: Christ said, “Call your husband,” showing that he too must share in the gift. She did not ask for bodily health, but at once sought living water; yet Christ knew all her life and revealed Himself as the Prophet. He knows your husband’s infirmity fully. Call upon Him, and He will act.
I do not blame the nature of the body, the belly is not merely for meats, and the body is for the Lord. Let us lay the fault not on the body but on the immoderate mind, and live temperately. Trust in His power, for grace is far more powerful than nature. I will pray with you, and for all people who need healing, that the Lord who makes all things whole will touch them and restore them.
