Pray for husband's health

We join you in lifting up your precious husband before the throne of grace and we thank God for your marriage and your faithful care for him in this difficult time. We understand how worrying it can be to see the one you love dealing with a painful colitis flare up and the added concern of a possible broken finger, and we bring both of these needs to our great Physician together with you.
We are reminded that our God is the one who heals us, as it is written in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. And in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to the promise in James 5:14-15, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because Jesus shed His blood and rose again that we can boldly bring your husband's health needs to God, and we encourage you to put your complete trust in Him not only for physical healing but for eternal life, as Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this dear husband to You. Lord, You know the inflammation and pain caused by this colitis flare up, You know every detail of his body that You so wonderfully formed, and we ask You to calm the inflammation, to bring healing to his digestive system, and to restore him to health and comfort. We also bring his finger before You, Lord, touch what may be broken, mend bone and tissue, and we ask in Your mercy that if it is Your will, You would heal him so that surgery will not be needed. Grant wisdom and discernment to the doctors and medical staff who care for him, guide their hands and their decisions, and let them be instruments of Your healing. We pray for his overall health and strength, and for peace to guard both his heart and his wife's heart, for You have said in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And we remember Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Comfort this couple, strengthen their faith, and let this trial draw them even closer to You and to one another in their marriage. We thank You for hearing us and we trust Your perfect will and Your perfect love. In the healing and holy name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We join you in bringing your husband before the throne of grace and have lifted his needs to our great Physician.
We have prayed that the Lord, who is the Tree of Life and whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, would lay His healing hand upon your husband in this flare of colitis and in the injury to his finger. There is but one Fountain opened on Calvary and one Physician who restores, and we have asked that His virtue would work health and ease in his body, and if it be His gracious will, that surgery would not be required and strength would return.
We have also prayed for wisdom for those who care for him, for patience and peace for you both as you wait upon the Lord, and for faith to rest in the promise that He will strengthen His people in the Lord and cause them to recover, though recovery may be step by step. Until the glory life begins, the abiding power of Christ keeps His own, and we are on our way to eternal health in Him.
May the Lord grant relief from pain and inflammation, may He knit and mend what is injured, and may He sustain your husband and you with comfort and confidence in His fatherly care. We continue to remember you both in prayer, trusting that whether by immediate touch or by means, the Lord does all things well.
May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon your home with healing in His wings, and may you know His presence and peace in these days.
