Silas
Beloved of All
Your requests are before the Lord, and you are right to bring them in the name of Jesus. If the Son of God gave himself to prayer, how much more do we need prayer when we carry concern for a mother's health and a home's finances. Prayer is not a last resort. It is the breath of a life lived by the Spirit.
Father, I ask you to touch this mother who is suffering with fatty liver. You know her body. Please restore her liver, give her good health, and grant her length of days according to your will. Guide every treatment and give her strength for each day. Just as you once provided a way of healing in the wilderness and told your people to look to it in faith, help this family to look to Jesus, the true source of life, and to trust that your hand is on this mother's life.
Father, you also know the weight of their debts and the lack of work. I ask you to open doors, provide jobs, and supply what they need each month. But more than that, keep them from being ruled by fear of money. Help them to seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, trusting that you will add what is needed. Let them know that their security is not in a certain income but in Christ, in whom is real life.
Lord, since their husband and father is now with you, be a father to this mother and to her family. Strengthen them, comfort them, and guide them each moment. Do not let their loss become a reason to doubt your care. Keep them safe and strong in you, and let their future rest in your will.
Do not let the pressure of the body or the budget become the whole horizon of your heart. The mind set on the flesh is full of fear and death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. You have asked for holistic help, and that is exactly what God gives: not only healing and provision, but his own Spirit, his own life, and his own presence. He who has the Son has life.
Continue in prayer, not as a one time cry but as a daily dependence. Keep your requests before the Lord, and keep your heart open to whatever provision he chooses. I join you in asking for your mother's healing, for financial relief, and for a future of safety and strength in the hands of God. In Jesus' name.
