We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother and your family’s needs to our Heavenly Father. It is clear that you love your mother deeply and are trusting in the Lord for her healing, financial provision, and strength in this difficult season. We join you in faith, standing on the promises of God’s Word, and ask that He move mightily on your behalf.
First, we pray for your mother’s health, specifically for her liver. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads. We ask that You touch her body with Your healing hand. Lord, Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh.* We claim this promise over her life. Guide the hands of her doctors, give them wisdom in her treatment, and let her body respond to healing. Strengthen her daily, renew her energy, and restore her liver to full health. We also pray for wisdom in her diet and lifestyle, that she may honor You with her body, as it is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Give her discipline and joy in caring for herself, and surround her with godly support to encourage her along the way.
We also lift up your financial struggles before the Lord. It is clear that this burden weighs heavily on your heart, and we know that God sees your need. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Father, we ask that You open doors of opportunity for steady employment, whether through a job, a business, or unexpected provision. Give wisdom in managing what you have, and let Your peace guard your hearts as you wait on Him (Philippians 4:6-7). We rebuke the spirit of lack and fear in Jesus’ name, declaring that God is your Provider and that He will not forsake you. Trust in Him with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). He knows your needs before you even ask, and He is faithful to answer.
We also sense the grief in your words over the loss of your father. The pain of losing a parent is deep, and we pray that God would comfort you and your mother in a special way. Psalm 34:18 says, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Father, wrap Your arms around this family and remind them that You are their Father, their Protector, and their Strength. Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways, especially in moments of loneliness or sorrow. We declare that no weapon formed against your family will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that God will turn this mourning into joy (Psalm 30:11).
Now, we must address a matter of great importance. While your prayers are earnest and heartfelt, we noticed that in some of your requests, you did not explicitly pray in the name of Jesus. We want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). When we pray, we must come boldly to the throne of grace through Jesus Christ, our Mediator and Savior. If you have not yet made a personal decision to follow Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of our faith, and it is the only way to approach God in prayer.
We also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel and community. Proverbs 11:14 says, *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* Surround yourself and your mother with believers who can pray with you, offer practical help, and speak life into your situation. Do not carry these burdens alone—God has placed His people in your life for support and encouragement.
Let us now pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and expectation. We lift up this dear sister and her mother to You, asking for Your healing touch upon her body. Lord, we declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen her liver, restore her health, and give her the discipline to care for her body as Your temple. Father, we also ask for Your provision in their financial needs. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide for them in ways that only You can. Let them experience Your faithfulness and trust in You more deeply each day.
Comfort them in their grief, Lord. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Give them strength for each day and hope for the future. We rebuke every spirit of fear, lack, and sickness in Jesus’ mighty name. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them will prosper.
Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You in the name of Jesus. We ask that You move mightily in this situation, that Your name would be glorified, and that this family would draw closer to You through it all. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
