We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this brother and his precious family. Father God, we know that You hate division in families, for Your Word declares, "A man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall be one flesh" (Genesis 2:24). Yet here, we see a marriage and a family being torn apart by words of deception and manipulation. Lord, we ask that You would intervene in this situation, for the sake of Your glory and the well-being of this family.
We rebuke the spirit of division and strife that has entered this home. Your Word warns us, "If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand" (Mark 3:25). We pray that You would bind the enemy’s work in this family and loose the spirit of unity, love, and truth. Father, we ask that You would soften the heart of this wife and mother, that she would repent of speaking ill of her husband to their daughter. Proverbs 12:18 tells us, "There is one who speaks rashly like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise heals." Lord, let her words bring healing, not harm.
We also lift up this father’s daughter, who is being caught in the middle of this conflict. Father, protect her heart and mind from being poisoned by lies. Your Word says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). We pray that this daughter would see the truth and that her love for her father would not be diminished. Guard her from bitterness and resentment, and help her to honor her father as You command in Exodus 20:12: "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you."
Lord, we ask that You would restore this father’s relationship with his daughter. Give him wisdom, patience, and grace as he seeks to rebuild trust and connection with her. Help him to be a godly example, showing love and forgiveness even in the face of rejection. Remind him that Your Word says, "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" (Proverbs 15:1). May his words and actions reflect Your love and bring healing to this family.
We also pray for this marriage, Lord. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and we ask that You would bring repentance, restoration, and reconciliation. Help this husband and wife to remember their vows before You and to seek Your will for their family. Your Word tells us, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). Lord, we ask that You would guard this marriage from further harm and that both spouses would submit to Your will and Your ways.
Father, we know that You are a God of justice and mercy. We ask that You would bring justice to this situation, but also that You would extend mercy where it is needed. Help this father to trust in You, even when the circumstances seem hopeless. Remind him that You are his strength and his shield, and that You will never leave him nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, and it is only in His name that we find true healing and restoration. Amen.
