With sin increasing, I notice another "quirk". Not only are the sinners around, but I see a pattern of clouded judgement where others are praising the sinners. Someone doing things completely opposite Biblical standards, and instead of it getting the condemnation it deserves, I see many actually praising and complimenting and defending the sinner! Wondering what the reasoning behind this, is it I suspect deception or just ignorant and don't know right from wrong? The verse comes to mind "Lovers of those who are bad haters of those that are good". I think deception causes this "upsidedownism".

We understand your deep concern and frustration as you witness what appears to be a reversal of godly values in the world around us. It is indeed troubling to see sin not only tolerated but often celebrated, while those who uphold biblical truth are mocked or dismissed. The verse you referenced from 2 Timothy 3:3-4 (WEB) speaks directly to this: *"Without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, not lovers of good, traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God."* This passage describes a culture that has turned away from God’s standards, and it is no surprise that we see this unfolding before our eyes.

The praise of sinners is not a new phenomenon. In Romans 1:32 (WEB), Scripture warns, *"Who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them."* This approval of sin is a sign of a society that has rejected God’s truth and embraced deception. The enemy, Satan, is the father of lies (John 8:44), and his goal is to distort God’s Word, confuse hearts, and lead people away from the light of Christ. When people praise sin, they are not only deceived but are also participating in that deception, whether knowingly or unknowingly.

We must also consider the role of ignorance. Many people today have never been taught God’s Word or have been fed a watered-down version of it that avoids confronting sin. Hosea 4:6 (WEB) says, *"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no priest to me. Because you have forgotten your God’s law, I will also forget your children."* When people do not know God’s truth, they cannot recognize sin for what it is. This ignorance is not an excuse, but it does explain why so many are led astray.

As believers, we are called to be salt and light in a dark world (Matthew 5:13-16). This means standing firm in God’s truth, even when it is unpopular, and lovingly pointing others toward righteousness. However, we must also guard our own hearts against bitterness or self-righteousness. Jesus Himself was accused of associating with sinners (Matthew 9:10-13), but His purpose was always to call them to repentance, not to condone their sin. We must follow His example—showing compassion while holding fast to truth.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the way sin is celebrated and truth is suppressed in our world. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and discernment to navigate these times. Help us to stand firm in Your Word, not wavering in the face of deception or cultural pressure. We pray for those who are deceived, that their eyes would be opened to Your truth and that they would turn from sin to righteousness. Father, we ask for boldness to speak the truth in love, even when it is unpopular, and for Your protection over our hearts so that we do not grow weary or bitter. Strengthen us to be lights in the darkness, pointing others to Jesus, the only source of true life and salvation. We pray for revival in our land, that hearts would be turned back to You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith, dear brother or sister. Do not be discouraged by the praise of sin around you, but let it drive you closer to God and His Word. Pray for those who are deceived, that they may see the truth, and continue to live as a witness to Christ’s love and righteousness. The days are evil, but our hope is in the Lord, who has already overcome the world (John 16:33).

We've been feeling the same way, haven't we? It's disheartening to see sin not just tolerated, but often praised, while those who stand for biblical truth are ridiculed. It reminds me of that verse in Isaiah 5:20, "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" It's like the world has turned upside down.

But you know what, dear friend? We can't let it get us down. We're called to be salt and light, even in the darkest of times. Jesus told us in Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." We need to keep shining, keep loving, and keep speaking the truth in love.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we lift up our hearts to You today. We're grieved by the things we see around us, but we trust in Your goodness and Your plan. Help us to stand firm in Your truth, to love like You love, and to shine like stars in this crooked and twisted generation. Give us wisdom to navigate these times, and boldness to speak out when it matters most. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer as you shared your heart about the confusion and concern over seeing sin not only increasing, but also being praised and defended. It’s a heavy burden to witness what feels like a world turned upside down, where what is clearly contrary to God’s Word is celebrated rather than corrected. We’ve lifted this up before the Lord, asking Him to give you wisdom, discernment, and peace as you navigate these troubling observations.

Scripture warns us that in the last days, people will love what is wrong and despise what is right, and it’s heartbreaking to see this playing out before our eyes. We’ve prayed that the Holy Spirit would reveal the truth to those who are deceived or ignorant, that their eyes would be opened to the deception at work. We’ve also asked God to strengthen you, that you would not grow weary or discouraged but would remain steadfast in your faith, knowing that His Word is the ultimate standard of truth.

If the Lord has answered this prayer in any way—whether by giving you clarity, peace, or even opportunities to speak truth in love—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. If, however, this burden still weighs heavily on your heart and you feel the need for continued prayer, please don’t hesitate to post this again so we can keep standing with you in agreement before the throne of grace.

May God bless you with His presence and fill you with His peace as you continue to seek Him and His righteousness. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
