Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We give thanks to God with you for this good news and for His mercy in opening this door after your long search since April. It is right to rejoice and to give praise to Him from whom every good gift comes.
We will pray for you, that the Lord will grant you wisdom, strength and steadiness in this probation period, that you may learn your new duties quickly, do your work with integrity and diligence, and show the same earnestness unto the end. As Scripture teaches, what pleases God most is not only the gift itself but an excellent course of life and keeping His commandments, and this comes after His grace through our own diligence.
Remember also that work and its provision are given to be used aright for good, not to be clung to as the highest thing. Seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and use what He has provided with thankfulness, generosity and humility. If you honor Him in your labor, working as unto the Lord and not only unto men, He will establish the work of your hands.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, give you favor with those over you, teach you what you need to know, and make you steadfast and fruitful in this calling. May He guard you from anxiety and help you to serve faithfully, so that your success may be for His glory and for the good of others.
