Thankyou to all those whom have been praying for me. I'm studying for my driving theory test and took a mock test on my app a few days ago and scored 27 /43. I was really disappointed and frustrated. I took it again and scored 37/43. I was really pleased with myself.
I would really appreciate it if you could keep on praying for me. I fear that I'm going to fail and am lacking in confidence.

We rejoice with you in the progress you’ve made between those two mock tests, what a wonderful testimony of perseverance and improvement! The Lord delights in our efforts to grow and learn, and He is faithful to strengthen us when we feel weak. Your willingness to press on, even after disappointment, reflects the heart of Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."

Yet we also hear the weight of fear and self-doubt in your words. The enemy would love to use anxiety to paralyze you, but we stand against that lie in Jesus’ name. The Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Your worth and capability are not defined by a test score, but by the One who created you and holds your future. We declare over you the truth of Psalm 138:8: "Yahweh will fulfill his purpose for me. Yahweh, your loving kindness endures forever."

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with gratitude for the progress You’ve already brought in this sister’s life. Lord, we ask that You calm her fears and replace them with Your perfect peace. Strengthen her mind to retain what she’s studied and give her clarity as she prepares. Remind her that her confidence is not in her own abilities, but in You, the Author and Perfecter of her faith. Guard her heart from discouragement, and let her rest in the knowledge that You are with her in every question she faces. We rebuke the spirit of fear and declare that she will walk into that test with boldness, knowing You are her helper. May she feel Your presence guiding her, and may the result bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on God’s promises as you continue studying. When doubt creeps in, speak aloud: "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?" (Psalm 27:1). Consider memorizing a few key verses to recite before your test, let Scripture be the loudest voice in your mind. And remember, even if the outcome isn’t what you hope, God’s plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). This test is just one step in His greater story for your life.

You are not alone in this. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for wisdom, peace, and success according to His will. Press on, dear one, the Lord is your strength!

That jump from 27 to 37 is a big deal, and we're genuinely glad you saw that improvement. It takes persistence to sit down and try again after a disappointing result, and that says something solid about your determination.

We hear you on the confidence piece. When a fear of failing keeps rattling around, it can make every practice session feel heavier than it needs to be. A lot of people find that confidence isn't something that shows up fully formed before the test, it gets built in small pieces, one study session and one mock test at a time, which is exactly what you're already doing. Sometimes we want a dramatic breakthrough, but real growth tends to look more like learning to walk: unsteady at first, then a little steadier, then before you know it you're moving forward without thinking about every step.

It may help to remember that the test isn't looking for perfection. You don't need to know everything, you just need to clear the bar, and you've already shown you're capable of doing that. When the fearful thoughts come, you might try naming them for what they are: nerves about a test you've been preparing for, not a prediction of how it will actually go. That small shift can sometimes take the edge off.

Lord, we thank you for the progress our friend has made and ask you to steady their mind as they keep preparing. Replace the fear of failure with a quiet confidence in the work they've put in, and give them clear recall when it's time to take the test. In Jesus' name.

It is a mercy to hear that the Lord has granted you a measure of success in your endeavors, and far be it from me to diminish the joy of any progress. Yet we must be careful to trace every good and perfect gift to the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness. The ### of ### is not merely the fruit of your own diligence, but a token of His kindness. But, mark this: the disappointment at the ###, the frustration that darkened your brow, was not that the churning of a spirit that had fixed its confidence in the flesh? And now the elation at the higher score is in danger of the same snare, if you rest in it as a ground of assurance.

You speak of fearing failure and a lack of confidence, and here we must come to gospel terms. This is not a matter for mere well-wishing, but a symptom that calls for the searching of the heart. Our Lord Jesus, when His disciples came to Him baffled by their failure to cast out a devil, did not soothe them with soft sayings. He laid the axe to the root: “Because of your unbelief.” The failure did not lie in the difficulty of the case, but in the conduit being severed from the source. So it is with you. This trembling, this dread of being put to confusion, springs from a faith that is at low ebb. You are looking to the strength of your own memory, the keenness of your own mind, rather than bringing the living God into the matter.

There is a slavish fear that suspects God and keeps the soul at a distance, and that is to be shunned as a plague. Such fear whispers that He will not help, that you must carry the burden alone, and it dishonors Him at every step. But there is a holy fear of yourself, a trembling that leans wholly upon the Beloved. Happy is the man who fears always in that fashion! Let the fear of failing in your own strength drive you to the shadow of the Almighty. If you would be delivered from the bondage of this dread, you must draw near to God, and then the promise stands immovable: He will draw near to you. You fear you cannot reach Him? The text sweeps that away. Draw near, and the infinite Lover of souls, who is purer than the angels, will not spurn you. He knows your frame; He remembers you are dust. In His drawing near, the mists of anxiety scatter, and the soul finds itself girded with a quiet confidence that no mock test can shake.

This very trial is a test of your religion, and it may do you more good than a decade of easy hours. It brings you to the end of creature resources and bids you find all your springs in Him. That sword of Goliath, the Word of the Lord, is the only piece of weaponry you require; lay hold of it and cry, “Give it to me!” For in the Scriptures you will find promises that slice through the fetters of fear: “Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee.” You are no better than a worm to be crushed by the first heel of difficulty, so be it. But your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, and He has pledged Himself to be the help of the helpless. To fear failure when He has undertaken to be your all-sufficiency is to act as though His arm were short.

Let the very fear of dishonoring so good a Master by a fainting heart now drive you to the cross. See there the expiation made for your sin, and know that if the great matter of your soul’s guilt is forever absolved by His blood, shall He not with Him freely give you all things needful for this passing trial? Do not seek to drown the unease with a forced cheerfulness; carry it to the throne of grace. Tell the Lord plainly: “I am afraid I shall be confounded; undertake for me, for I am weak.” Then go your way, study with diligence as unto Him, and when you sit in the examination room, look not to yourself but to the God who has promised grace to help in time of need. The saint is not one who is free from the natural shrinking of the flesh, but one who has learned to override it by a lively faith in the present Helper.

Your improvement is a ground for thankfulness, but let it not become a pillow for presumption. Let it be to you as a candle that shows the next step, not the whole stairway. Press on, but as one whose expectation is from the Lord. Commune with Christ, the Rose of Sharon, who is altogether lovely to the eye of faith, and it will be strange if you do not find your heart so sweetly occupied with Him that the little fears about a theory test shrink to their right proportion. The stone in the shoe vexes the traveler most when he takes his mind off the rest at the inn. So set your affection on things above, and the small vexations of the way will lose their power to bind you in slavery. Go now, and may the Lord whom you seek send you help out of the sanctuary, and give you a calm, reliant spirit that glorifies Him in the very midst of the trial.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a true mercy that your efforts are bearing fruit, for the advance from ### to ### is no small thing; it is a sign that diligence joined with prayer receives a blessing from above. Give thanks to God who grants even these common skills their increase, for every good gift comes from Him.

Yet I hear the tremor of fear in your voice, and it is this fear that I would now address. For our confidence must not rest on our own strength, nor should fear of failure cast us down. The Apostle warns that those who have no clear conscience live in perpetual fear, pale and trembling, even in the midst of plenty. But the one who labors humbly and entrusts the outcome to God is rich with a peace that surpasses all earthly success. True confidence is born not of a proud assurance in our own mind, but of the fear of the Lord, which drives out the fear of men and of circumstance.

Consider how even the saints were told to be without fear, not because danger was absent, but because their Father’s hand held them fast. So with you: you have done your part, you have studied, you have sought the prayers of the faithful. Now commit the whole matter into God’s keeping. He cares for the sparrow; will He not care for your anxious heart? Do not let the dread of failing tomorrow rob you of the peace you may possess today, for each day has trouble enough of its own.

I shall not cease to commend you in prayer, and I trust that the same love which has already lifted you will carry you through the test itself. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you, strengthening your heart and giving you the quiet confidence that comes from resting in Him alone.
