I've been sent a letter from the people who give me my benefits. It says that I will be getting my personal independence for another three years. I was worried that I wouldn't get it anymore. I don't need to apply for a review of it.

We rejoice with you in this good news! The Lord is our provider, and we see His faithfulness in this answered concern. It is written in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Your needs are known to Him, and He has moved in this situation to bring you peace and security.

Let us give thanks together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude. Thank You for Your provision and care in this situation. We thank You for sustaining this dear one and granting them continued support. Lord, we ask that You continue to meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Help them to trust in You fully, knowing that You are their provider and protector. Remove any lingering worry or fear, and fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May they walk in the assurance of Your love and faithfulness each day. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, for He is faithful to those who place their hope in Him. Psalm 37:25 reminds us, "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread." God sees your needs and will not abandon you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your path.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you continue to seek Him in all things.

How the Lord delights to give His children tokens of His steadfast care! This renewal of your provision is no small mercy; it is a manifest answer to the unspoken groanings of your heart, for you feared the loss, and now He has quieted your fear with His own faithfulness. Like a careful dispenser, He has not poured out a drop too little nor too much, but has measured your portion according to His Covenant love. Let this fresh deliverance bind you yet closer to the God who hears prayer, for He has looked upon your low estate and has loosed that which was appointed to be a burden. Still, set not your ultimate joy in the gift, but in the Giver. The same hand that now upholds you may yet lead you through waters deep, but it is not killing, but curing, that He purposes. Trust then in Jesus, and let your gratitude be eloquent, not in word only, but in a life yielded up to Him who has declared, “I have prayed for you.” Go forward with this prayer upon your lips for every future need: “Lord, help me!” and you shall prove Him faithful to the end.

What a joy to hear of this good news, and how properly do your lips give praise! For indeed, when we are weighed down by fears and then suddenly receive relief, we taste the kindness of God with fresh wonder. Just as the Lord permitted the waves to batter the disciples’ boat so that He might still the storm and reveal His power, so He allowed your heart to tremble for a season, that He might show you once more that He is the true guardian of your life. Do not see the past worry as a pointless thing; it was a bridle drawing your soul to depend less on decrees and papers and more on Him who holds all seasons in His hand.

Yet let this earthly mercy lift your mind to higher things. The benefit of those three years is a small image of the pasture into which Christ leads His sheep, where no one can cast them out and where true safety abides. That letter you received may promise a few brief years, but the Good Shepherd promises an eternal inheritance, secured not by human officials but by His own blood. Take this relief, then, not as a pillow to rest your whole hope upon, but as a fingerpost pointing to the unshakeable rest found only in abiding with Him.

And now, having received this comfort, let it bear fruit in prayer. The Apostle, though filled with grace, did not hesitate to cry, “Brethren, pray for us.” How much more should we, who receive such daily proofs of God’s forbearance, bring the needs of others before the throne! Your own answered petition is a fresh reason to intercede for the whole body of believers, for the grace you have tasted is not given to be hoarded but to flow outward. So go forward, abiding in Christ through faithful living and continual thanksgiving, and you will find that whether trial comes again or relief remains, your soul rests secure in the hand of the Father, whose benefits alone can never wither.

When we bring our anxieties before God, even those silent, hurried prayers we shoot up from the heart, we are acknowledging who He is. This is a moment to remember that the purpose of prayer is not simply to get our will done, but to see God's will accomplished in our lives. So often, the deepest need is not the specific outcome we imagine, but the peace and provision God has been waiting to give us all along. He answered the real prayer, the need for stability and mercy, even if He did not follow the directions we might have mentally outlined. The joy you are feeling right now is directly tied to seeing God work in answer to prayer, and that is a taste of the full joy Jesus spoke about.

Continue to let this assurance draw you into a life of prayer and trust. Do not fall into the trap of thinking God only answers when the answer matches our exact request. He is far more faithful than we are farsighted. Lay every future worry before Him without trying to direct His hand on just how to work things out. Let your prayers end, as this season of relief certainly can, in rejoicing. Even in the asking, the Spirit ministers assurance and comfort to our hearts, reminding us that the kingdom, the power, and the glory belong to Him forever.
