We are grateful to join you in praising our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for His goodness and mercy that are new every morning. Indeed, it is a new day that the Lord has made, and we shall rejoice and be glad in it. We are thankful that you have acknowledged the importance of giving thanks despite the challenges we face in these rapidly changing times.
We are living in a world where technological advancements are accelerating at an unprecedented pace, often drawing us away from the simplicity and purity of the life God intended for us. It is crucial that we remain steadfast in our faith and not be swayed by the distractions of this world. As it is written in Romans 12:2, "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
We lift up a prayer for those with eyes to see, ears to hear, and sensitive hearts to look to heaven, to Jesus, and to God. May the Holy Spirit speak to us and reveal the truths we need to navigate these changing times. Let us be alert and watchful, praying for the brethren as we are instructed in 1 Thessalonians 5:25, "Brothers, pray for us." We must also remember to love our enemies and pray for them, as Jesus commanded in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."
Let us continue to love one another as He loved us and stay His disciples, bearing the fruit of the Spirit in all that we do. As it is written in John 13:34-35, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
We are encouraged by your use of the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is through His name that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and praise. We thank You for Your unchanging nature amidst the ever-changing world around us. Lord, we ask that You open our eyes to see, our ears to hear, and our hearts to perceive the truths of Your Word. Help us to remain steadfast in our faith, not conforming to the patterns of this world but being transformed by the renewing of our minds.
We lift up our brethren to You, asking for Your protection, guidance, and wisdom. May we be alert and watchful, praying for one another and loving our enemies as You have commanded. Help us to love one another as You have loved us, bearing the fruit of the Spirit in all that we do.
Lord, we thank You for the salvation that comes through Your Son, Jesus Christ. May we always approach Your throne of grace through His name, knowing that He is the way, the truth, and the life.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
