"While Confessing My Sins and The Sins of My Nation," Dan 9:20, "If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land," 2 Chron 7:14...
šŸ™‡šŸ» Father, thank You for giving mercy and grace in times of need, Heb 4:16, past and now in present. Though we may yet need grace to confess in the future, we rather prefer to be done with all future sin, and if there were a button to push representing that ability, we'd gladly do it without delay or hesitation... Yet since no such button exists, and the best of humans are still "humanity," we do are content with what we have, namely prescriptions for the humble remedy, and promises of not only cleansing, 1 Jn 1:9 but even contentment in Your presence, Heb 13:5, and promises of holiness, which we inherit by faith, Heb 4:2, even promises to do no wrong, 2 Cor 13:7, not stumble in what we say and control the whole body, James 3:2, even to walk as Jesus Himself, 1 Jn 2:6, 1 Jn 4:17. We continue the remedy of our misuse of the instrument we were given to glorify God and edify others, in confession and repentance, for sanctification both a one-time act and an ongoing work of participation with the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit, Matt 3:8, Phil 2:12-13, 1 Tim 4:16, so we agree with Your admonition to confess our sins to one another and pray for each other that we may be healed, James 5:16 -- maybe that's how through boasting in our weaknesses 2 Cor 12:9 by faith from weaknesses we are made strong, Heb 11:32-34. So in obedience to Your teaching through Hosea, we, "Take words with you, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, 'Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips as bulls" Hos 14:2.

šŸ“ Lord, I've missed Your warnings, not hearkened to Your Voice, Missed Your Spirit's leading, haven't taken the way of escape in every occurrence, 1 Cor 10:13... I've dealt with things unrighteously, sinned and fallen short of Your glorious image, Rom 3:23, Gen 1:27, Matt 5:48, Eph 5:1. I've lacked love, have gotten "in the flesh," have said and typed things in with a mixture of emotions, even in anger, that even while true have either lacked love or forgotten the foundation of equality for the sake of Christ, Eph 5:21, maybe both or all of the following: I have done things mixed with pride and empty conceit, and in times of pain have said, spoken, typed, forwarded and done things to further my own interests or unrighteous emotions, rather than considering the interests of others, and lacked the attitude of Christ's humility that prefers my neighbor's advantage, and forgotten to treat others as more important than myself, Phil 2:3-5. Such actions and attitudes that display such mixture tainted with the anger of man do not achieve the righteousness of God, James 1:19-20. Therefore, not using my bodily members as instruments of righteousness consistently, I've been a man of unclean lips, Isa 6:5.

Since our transgressions are multiplied before you, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them, transgressing and denying Yahweh, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood, Isa 59:12-13, at time, "Surely I have spoken of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know, therefore I despise my sins, and I repent from them in dust and ashes," Job 42:3, Job 42:6. Yet though You've disciplined me severely, You haven't given me over to death, Ps 118:18. I can say with the Psalmist, "It was good for me to be afflicted that I might learn the way of Your Commands," Ps 119:71. Let me make the most of Your discipline, knowing it's end result has many ends in mind, sanctification being a chief one, Even Jesus being the author, ἀρχηγὸν, ultimate architect, pioneer and engineer of our salvation, perfected through suffering, Heb 2:10, on earth and in flesh, the proving ground of obedience, becoming the ultimate fountain of salvation, Heb 5:8-9. Surely, there is One found Worthy, Rev 5:9.

Though beyond human capacity to bear at times tribulation transfers every drop of hope to You alone who raise the dead, 2 Cor 1:8-9, produces patience leading to maturity that we may also be complete, James 1:2-3, and though not pleasant at present, afterward yields not only perseverance, proven character but an abiding hope that does not disappoint, even granting assurance through The Holy Spirit of Adoption, Rom 5:3-5. May trials yield a harvest of peaceful fruit and righteousness, Heb 12:11, even an everlasting quietness and confidence, Isa 32:17, an everlasting crown of life, James 1:12, and ability to reign with You, as You overcame and reign in truth, humility and justice, Ps 45:4, Rev 3:19-21, Rev 21:7. We ask for grace to renew our minds, Rom 12:2, to rejoice in all these things knowing we are presently blessed and understanding their end is eternal reward, Matt 5:10-12, and that Your Intention is to work it all together for good, Rom 8:28, because You are indeed Gracious and Compassionate, Ex 34:4-5, as we see You were with Job, James 1:12. Let us pray for others and others pray for us knowing You have brought us through trials before, You will do so again, and that prayers are powerful and effective, 2 Cor 1:10-11, especially when we confess our struggles and sins to one another and pray for each other, Your promise is the prayers are powerful and effective, James 5:15-16, even as Elijah's, James 5:17-18... Continued below while abiding in Jesus Christ and His Words, John 15:1-8, and His Life Giving Words of The Holy Spirit, John 6:63, His Name being the only Name given under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, He being the One God and Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in The Power of Attorney given by us His Position and Command, Mt 18:18, we ask in Jesus' Name, John 14:13-14.

We come before You, Father, with hearts laid bare, acknowledging the profound truth that Your grace is sufficient for us, for Your power is made perfect in our weakness. We echo the apostle Paul’s declaration, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore we will boast all the more gladly in our weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on us (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB). We confess that without You, we can do nothing, but with You, all things are possible.

We recognize the struggle with the tongue, a small member, yet capable of great destruction. We are reminded that "the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by Gehenna" (James 3:6 WEB). We repent for the times we have used our words to tear down rather than build up, to wound rather than heal, to speak in anger rather than love. Father, set a guard over our mouths, and keep watch over the door of our lips (Psalm 141:3 WEB). May our words be seasoned with salt, full of grace, and always reflecting the love of Christ (Colossians 4:6 WEB).

We acknowledge our sins, both personal and corporate, and the ways we have fallen short of Your glory. We have not always heeded Your warnings, nor have we consistently taken the way of escape You provide in temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). We have acted in pride, selfishness, and unrighteous anger, forgetting that "the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God" (James 1:20 WEB). We have spoken words of falsehood, oppression, and revolt, turning away from following You (Isaiah 59:12-13 WEB). Forgive us, Lord, for we have sinned against You and against one another.

Yet we take comfort in Your promise: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). We humble ourselves before You, seeking Your face and turning from our wicked ways, that You may hear from heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB). We thank You for Your discipline, for it is a sign of Your love and a means to produce the peaceful fruit of righteousness in us (Hebrews 12:11 WEB). Though trials are not pleasant, we rejoice in them, knowing they produce perseverance, character, and hope, a hope that does not disappoint because Your love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:3-5 WEB).

We lift up our voices in prayer for one another, for we know that "the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:16 WEB). We confess our struggles to one another, that we may be healed, and we pray for each other, that we may grow in holiness and maturity. Let us encourage one another daily, so that none of us may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness (Hebrews 3:13 WEB). May we spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, but building each other up in faith (Hebrews 10:24-25 WEB).

Father, we thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who is the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6 WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). We come to You in His name, for He is our Mediator, the One who intercedes for us at Your right hand (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). We ask all these things in Jesus’ name, trusting in Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us (1 John 5:14 WEB).

We pray for a renewal of our minds, that we may discern Your good, pleasing, and perfect will (Romans 12:2 WEB). Let us rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that they produce endurance, character, and hope (Romans 5:3-4 WEB). May we fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at Your right hand (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). Strengthen us to run with perseverance the race marked out for us, casting aside every weight and the sin that so easily entangles (Hebrews 12:1 WEB).

We thank You for Your promises, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in us (Philippians 1:6 WEB). May we walk in a manner worthy of the calling we have received, with all humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another in love (Ephesians 4:1-2 WEB). Let us put on the full armor of God, that we may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11 WEB). And may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, equip us with everything good for doing His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen (Hebrews 13:20-21 WEB).

We close with the words of Hosea, taking them to heart: "Take words with you, and return to Yahweh. Tell him, ā€˜Forgive all our sins, and accept that which is good: so we offer our lips like bulls. Assyria can’t save us. We won’t ride on horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, "Our gods!" for in you the fatherless finds mercy’" (Hosea 14:2-3 WEB). May our lives be a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You, our reasonable act of worship (Romans 12:1 WEB). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear the deep desire in your words, the hunger for holiness and the honest grief over moments you’ve missed the mark. It’s a sacred thing to lay your heart bare like this, and we’re with you in it. What you’re describing, the struggle with words spoken in anger or mixed motives, is part of the lifelong journey of sanctification. It’s not about achieving perfect speech overnight but about turning again and again to Christ, who is our righteousness and our strength. Your confession itself is a sign of the Spirit’s work.

One thing that has helped many is to remember that confession isn’t just a duty; it’s a gift that gradually loosens sin’s grip. As you keep bringing these struggles into the light, both before God and with safe, trusted brothers or sisters, you’ll find the pull of those old patterns weakening. In the meantime, a small practical step can be to build a habit of pausing before you speak or type: a quick breath and a whispered ā€œJesus, help me.ā€ Over time, that pause becomes a place where grace meets your tongue, and the Spirit reshapes your responses.

We don’t need to be done with all future sin to be fully loved and firmly held. Christ’s grace is sufficient for each moment, and His power is perfected in our weakness. Rest in that today, and keep walking forward, not in shame, but in the steady hope that He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion.

Lord Jesus, thank You for receiving every honest cry of repentance with deep compassion. Thank You that You are already at work, cleansing and renewing. Quiet any lingering guilt with the certainty of Your forgiveness. Fill this child of Yours with the Holy Spirit, that their words may flow from a heart at rest in Your love. Give them courage to keep confessing, and surround them with fellow travelers who will pray them onward. In Your mighty name, Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

The rear rank suits you best and you wonder that you are in the Lord's army in any rank at all. This is a holy sign, for the broken heart and contrite spirit He will not despise. Yet see that your repentance is not the bitter fruit of mere judgment, but that heavenly sort which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. It is repentance after a fashion but it is not of that holy, healthy, heavenly sort if it keeps you from faith. It is a great mystery; faith is before repentance in some of its acts, and repentance before faith in another view of it; the fact being that they come into the soul together. Any repentance that keeps thee from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of.

You are not to seek to draw up repentance from the depths of your own heart, as you might draw up water from a well, but to ask Christ to work repentance in you by His Holy Spirit, through belief of the Truth of God. His power is able this morning, if he will, to change your heart, to turn the current of all your ideas; to make you at once a child of God, to justify you in Christ. There is power enough in the Holy Spirit. Ye are not straightened in him, but in your own bowels. And remember, it is worthwhile to have the troubles in order to get the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it is worthwhile to endure the storm in order to realize the joys!

Praying in the Holy Spirit’s power, this power may be possessed by every Christian. And as you cry out with groanings that cannot be uttered, you shall find Him familiar with God! He talks with Jesus! The Holy Spirit dwells in him! A hold on a promise is a hold on the Covenant! As the spokes of a wheel all meet in the axle, so all the promises of God meet in the great center of the Covenant of Grace made with Christ Jesus on behalf of all His people. Hold on to that and never let it go. Repentance, moreover, is never perfect in any man in this mortal state, yet it is the daily and hourly duty of a man who believes in Christ; and as we walk by faith from the wicket gate to the celestial city, so our right-hand companion all the journey through must be repentance. The Holy Spirit is given, in the Covenant, to all the children of God and received by each in due course, and He shall produce in you that repentance and remission of sins preached in His name.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26
