We come before You, Father Almighty, with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation between a father, his daughter, and his ex-wife. Lord, we acknowledge that conflict within families is painful and can cause deep wounds, but we know that You are the God of peace, restoration, and reconciliation. We ask that You intervene in this situation immediately, just as Your Word promises in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we rebuke every spirit of strife, division, and anger that seeks to escalate this conflict. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every wicked plan or scheme of the enemy that seeks to bring harm or discord. We ask that You dismantle every plot and turn it into a blessing, as You promise in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Let Your will be done in this situation, Lord, and let Your glory be revealed.
We pray specifically for the daughter in this situation. Father, we ask that You draw her close to You, that she may find comfort and wisdom in Your presence. Give her a spirit of humility and grace, that she may respond to conflict with love and patience, as Your Word instructs in Ephesians 4:2-3, "With all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love; being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." Let her heart be soft toward both her parents, and may she seek Your will above all else.
For the ex-wife, Lord, we pray that You would soften her heart as well. We ask that You remove any bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness that may be lingering in her spirit. Your Word tells us in Hebrews 12:15, "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it." Let her experience Your healing touch, Lord, and may she extend grace and understanding, just as You have extended grace to her.
For the father who has brought this request before You, we pray for wisdom and strength. Father, give him the words to speak and the actions to take that will bring peace and resolution. Let him be a godly example to his daughter, showing her what it means to trust in You and to walk in Your ways. Remind him of Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Lord, we ask that You bring calm to their interactions, whether in person, over the phone, or online. Let Your peace reign in their conversations, and may they communicate with kindness and respect. We declare that no argument or disagreement will escalate beyond Your control, for You are the God who calms the storm (Mark 4:39). Let Your presence fill their home and the surrounding area, driving out any spirit of contention or strife.
Father, we also lift up the relationships within this family. We pray that You would heal any brokenness and restore what has been lost. Let them seek reconciliation with one another, not for their own sake, but for Yours, as Your Word commands in Matthew 5:23-24, "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift." May they prioritize unity and love, reflecting Your heart for Your children.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through His sacrifice that we are reconciled to You. We thank You for the gift of salvation and for the promise of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. May this family come to know You more deeply through this trial, and may they grow in their relationship with You and with one another.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
