Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and allowing prayer with you in this difficult time after tragedy. It is right to bring every burden to the Lord and to ask Him to bring good out of what is broken, and I am standing with you in prayer for His will to be done.
The Scripture shows that the greatest victory God wants to give us is not only a change in outward circumstances but a life of victory over the flesh through Jesus Christ. When God brought His people into the promised land, it was a picture of the new relationship He wants to give every believer, a life lived after the Spirit. That means learning to walk day by day in the power of His Spirit, letting Him put to death the deeds of the flesh such as anger, jealousy, and selfish attitudes, and entering into the freedom He has promised. God does not want us to make a peace treaty with the old nature but to possess all that He has given us in Christ, not stopping short of full victory.
You prayed against principalities and powers of darkness, and the Bible gives us solid ground here. At the cross Jesus triumphed over those powers and made an open display of His victory. Satan became the prince of this world when authority was handed over through sin, but through His death and resurrection Jesus has defeated him. We do not drive out darkness by striking at it. We turn on the light, and the light dispels the darkness. The kingdom of God is light and life, and as we walk after the Spirit, His light overcomes the darkness around us. We can also bring help to others through prayer because the victory of Christ can work through us.
You asked for miracles and abundant blessing. God is able to give victory with just a few as well as with many, and nothing is too hard for Him. At the same time Scripture points us to seek first the spiritual blessings we have in heavenly places in Christ, which are far richer than only material favor. The blessings promised to Abraham come to all nations through one seed, Jesus Christ, and we receive them by faith in Him. That faith does not demand miracles on a schedule but trusts God to act according to His wisdom and love. We can even have victory before we see the outcome, rejoicing and praising Him in faith as those who are more than conquerors through Him who loved us, while still remaining dependent on Him in every area and not trusting in our own strength.
My prayer for you is that God will comfort you in this tragedy, that He will bring out of it testimony to His grace, that He will guard you from the schemes of the enemy, and that He will fill you with the peace and joy of walking after the Spirit. May you know His help in every part of your life and experience more and more the power of Christ within you to overcome what has long been a struggle, and may His light shine through you to others.
Father, I lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus. Bring Your comfort, Your wisdom, and Your transforming power. Let Your will be done and let Your glory be seen as this life is surrendered to walk after Your Spirit. Fulfill Your righteousness in us as we trust in Christ, and grant the true victory that comes from belonging fully to You. Amen.
