Posed in the picture with a beautiful smile

Servant of All
I absolutely loved being posed as a woman to take a picture of myself. I couldn't be happier with how I am.

We hear your heart in this request, and we want to approach it with both truth and love, as Scripture commands us. First, we must address the matter with biblical clarity. The joy you express in presenting yourself in a way that contradicts the gender God assigned you at birth is not aligned with His design. God created humanity male and female, each with distinct and purposeful roles (Genesis 1:27, "God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them."). When we embrace or celebrate identities that reject this design, we are stepping outside of God’s will for our lives.

The Bible is clear that our bodies are not our own to redefine as we please. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, we are reminded, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." This means that our identity, including our gender, is not something we can alter to suit our desires, it is a sacred trust from God.

We must also address the deeper issue of where true joy and fulfillment are found. You say you "couldn’t be happier" with how you are, but we know that lasting happiness can only come from aligning our lives with God’s truth. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If we are not walking in His truth, our joy will ultimately be fleeting and unfulfilling. The enemy seeks to deceive us into believing that sin brings happiness, but Scripture warns us in John 10:10, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." True abundance is found in Christ, not in pursuing identities or lifestyles that contradict His Word.

We also want to gently but firmly rebuke the spirit of deception that may be at work in your life. The Bible warns us in Romans 1:21-22, "Because, knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools." When we reject God’s design for our lives, we open ourselves up to confusion and spiritual darkness. This is not God’s will for you. He desires for you to walk in the light of His truth, not in the shadows of deception.

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer, seeking His mercy, healing, and restoration for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one to You. Lord, we know that You created them fearfully and wonderfully in Your image, with a purpose and a plan for their life. We ask that You would break any chains of deception that have taken hold of their heart and mind. Father, Your Word says that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that this child of Yours would turn to You with a repentant heart, seeking Your forgiveness and Your truth.

Lord, we ask that You would reveal to them the beauty of Your design for their life. Help them to see themselves as You see them, a beloved child of God, created with intention and purpose. Father, we pray against the lies of the enemy that have told them they can find happiness outside of Your will. Replace those lies with Your truth, and fill their heart with a deep and abiding joy that comes only from You.

We ask that You would surround them with godly influences, believers who will speak Your truth in love and walk alongside them in their journey. Give them the strength to resist the temptations of this world and the courage to embrace the identity You have given them. Father, we know that with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26), and we trust that You are at work in their life, even now.

Lord, we also pray for healing, emotional, spiritual, and even physical healing if there are areas where they have been hurt or confused. Restore to them the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12) and help them to walk in the freedom that comes from living in alignment with Your Word.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed. We thank You for Your love, Your mercy, and Your grace, and we trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We want to encourage you to seek the Lord with all your heart. Spend time in His Word, allowing it to renew your mind and transform your thinking (Romans 12:2). Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support you, pray for you, and hold you accountable as you walk this journey. Remember, God’s love for you is unchanging and unconditional. He is not angry with you; He is waiting with open arms for you to turn to Him and receive the healing and restoration that only He can provide.

If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, but it requires a response, a turning away from sin and a turning toward God. If you are ready to make that decision, we would love to pray with you and help you take that step.

You are not alone in this journey. God is with you, and we are praying for you. May He draw you closer to Himself and reveal His perfect plan for your life.

What a gift it is to catch a glimpse of ourselves that feels so genuinely happy, a smile that reflects a moment of real delight. We're glad you shared that with us.

That kind of joy can feel rare, and it’s worth noticing. We believe every good thing comes from God, and we pray that this taste of happiness draws you closer to the deeper, steady peace He offers, a peace rooted not in what we wear or how we present ourselves, but in who we are to Him. Our truest identity isn’t something we fashion on our own; it’s discovered as we rest in Christ, knowing we are loved and chosen before we ever posed for a single photo.

We’ll simply ask Him together:

Father, thank you for the moments that remind us we are alive, that we can smile. Hold this dear one in that love that never depends on appearance. Grant wisdom, clarity, and a growing sense of identity that is anchored in your Son. Surround them with voices that speak truth and grace, and let your Spirit gently guide them into the fullness of all you created them to be. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The principal element in true happiness is a heart at peace with God, and a pardoned sinner has that! Then ought he not to show it in his very face? Ought not his whole manner to be blessedly joyous because he is at peace with God? Yet, instead of unduly exulting in their possessions and becoming high-minded and vain-glorious, the Lord's people are kept lowly and self-distrustful. Far from anything like exaltation or self-congratulation, I feel more than ever inclined to lie low at the feet of my Master and kiss the very dust He stands upon! That old Word of God is still true, "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion." Men do not like that Doctrine of God, it galls them terribly, but it is the Truth of God for all that!

We speak of such persons weeping, for they are the enemies of the Cross of Christ. Oh that you who are young might be kept from anything like looseness or effeminacy! Avoid glances, words and thoughts which tend that way. This is a thought at which the faithful may well weep, for their cry is SELF, their course is SIN. But we, Beloved, are, we trust, no longer lovers of self. We have become adorers of God and purely from gratitude we pay our glad homage at His Throne! We do not now put self foremost, we wish to experience a self-annihilation, a death to self. Oh, admirable mirror which reflects not self with its imperfections, but gives a perfect image to those that are uncomely! May you and I so fix our contemplations upon Jesus and all the Persons of the Godhead, that we may have our unholiness removed and our depravity overcome!

An unconverted man may have what he calls, joy, but it is the joy of madness! The pardon of sin brings true happiness. If you have but partly trusted and partly communed, and partly served, your happiness may well be shallow. Wake up, wake up, ye people of Israel; be astonished, ye careless ones; ye who have neglected prayer; ye sinners that are in Zion’s own self, and that have been at ease. Let me take up my cross, today, whatever it is, though I may be ridiculed, separated and laughed at. Let me do it, bear it cheerfully for His truth!

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Such happiness, resting on a passing image and a self-fashioned appearance, cannot be the abiding joy for which the soul was made. God is first, the Creator of all things, and before Him nothing existed. He fashioned us male and female, and His order is not given to crush our gladness but to anchor it in truth. When you delight in a pose that sets aside that design, you embrace a shadow that will soon flee, leaving the heart empty. The Apostle would not comfort us with carnal things, but with spiritual benefits: the communion of the Spirit, the consolation of love, the tender mercies that flow from being one mind in Christ. Do not mistake a fleeting smile for the joy that fills the heart with divine gladness, the joy of angels that has nothing in common with this present life.

Christ laid down His life not to affirm us in every desire, but to rescue us from death and deception. He called even His enemies as witnesses to the truth, for truth fears no scrutiny. If you silence the witness of your own flesh, bearing testimony against yourself by denying the body God gave you, you stand as accuser of His wisdom. That image in the mirror is not the real you; it is a garment borrowed for an hour. I beseech you, then, by the compassions of Christ, do not let this transitory pleasure deceive you into trading the substance for a reflection. Flee to the Bridegroom who calls you to the marriage of the Church, where there is no sorrow, no confusion, only spiritual cheerfulness and a beauty that does not fade. Let your heart’s desire be for your own salvation, that you may be grafted into the true olive tree and stand blameless before the Master of all. That is the happiness that will not betray you: the joy of being known and loved as God made you, not as you might fashion yourself for a moment's display.

Thank you for sharing what’s on your heart. A picture can capture a moment when everything seemed right, when the smile came easily and the feeling of being happy with yourself was overwhelming. I hear that. But I want to gently ask us both to step back and look at that feeling in light of something far more important than a single emotion, the cross of Jesus Christ.

The message of the cross is not first about how we feel about ourselves; it’s about what God has done to rescue us from a way of life governed by self. Jesus said that anyone who would come after Him must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Him. That’s a hard word because it goes directly against our instinct to determine our own identity and pursue what makes us happy. The cross calls us to bring our own ambitions, our own goals, even our deeply held desires, and reckon them dead with Christ. There is no lasting life apart from that death to self.

The world around you will insist that happiness comes from crafting an image that reflects your inner sense of who you are. It will tell you that this self-made image is your true self and that you should glory in it. But God’s Word shows us a different way. We first see the cross as the place where Christ submitted fully to the will of the Father, even when it meant suffering and shame. And Christ’s mind is to be our mind, choosing submission to God’s purpose over our own will. Real joy is not found in posing a self-created identity; it is found when we lose our self-life for His sake and discover what it means to live in the power of Christ’s resurrection.

You were made in the image of God with the capacity to choose. That is a profound gift. But that self-determination is meant to turn you toward your Maker, not away from His design for your life. When a person chooses to shape an image of themselves that contradicts the created order, that choice may feel liberating and produce a bright smile, but the Bible warns against worshipping any image we make. The golden image of Nebuchadnezzar was impressive and demanded allegiance, yet it led those who bowed to destruction. The images we carve out of our own desires, whether molten or graven, cannot give lasting life because they spring from a heart that has not yet been brought to the cross.

You see, the cross stands as the proof of God’s love. He doesn’t argue for your love apart from it. At the cross, Jesus bore your sins and mine, including every instance of living after the flesh, every time we have governed our own lives. And the cross is also the pattern for our deliverance. The old nature, with its passions and desires, must be crucified with Him. That doesn’t mean you will never have conflicting feelings, but it does mean those feelings no longer have the right to rule you. You no longer have to obey them.

My prayer for you is not that your happiness would be removed, but that you would come to see the cross as the only solid ground for your identity. Instead of glorying in a self-styled picture, you would learn to glory only in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which you have been crucified to the world and the world to you. The power of the resurrection, the power to live a new life in Christ, only comes after we have first known the fellowship of His sufferings and the death of self. Jesus could not experience resurrection until He went to the cross. Neither can we.

So I gently urge you: don’t run from the cross. Don’t let the loud voice of self-preservation talk you out of the self-denial that Jesus made the first step of discipleship. The path of escaping the cross is the way of spiritual emptiness, no matter how good it looks in a photograph. But when you take up your cross, when you surrender your own way and fully submit to the will of the Father, you will find a peace and a life that far surpass any fleeting happiness the world can give.

We are deeply moved by your openness and the joy you expressed in embracing the way God has uniquely created you. It’s a beautiful thing to see someone finding happiness and confidence in their identity, and we want to thank you for sharing that moment of pure, God-given delight with us.

We have been lifting you up in prayer, asking the Lord to continue filling your heart with His peace and assurance. May He remind you daily of His love for you, just as you are, and may that love overflow into every area of your life. If this season of joy and self-acceptance is a direct answer to prayer, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report from you—your testimony could encourage so many others walking similar paths.

If, however, there are still struggles or uncertainties weighing on your heart, please don’t hesitate to share them with us again. We are here to stand with you, to pray without ceasing, and to trust in God’s perfect timing and plan for your life. You are not alone, and we believe the Lord is working all things together for your good.

May His grace continue to surround you, His wisdom guide you, and His love sustain you as you seek Him with all your heart. We pray this in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
