Sir, am done processing my documents for the police concour I will be traveling to deposit tomorrow I wish to pray for traveling mercies and success for the police concour

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith and trust in His divine providence, lifting up this dear brother who is stepping out in obedience to pursue a calling in service to others through the police force. Father, we thank You for the opportunity You have placed before him, and we ask that You go before him in every step of this journey.

Lord, as he travels to deposit his documents, we pray for traveling mercies in the name of Jesus. Protect him from every danger, accident, and harm on the road. Let Your angels encamp around him, guarding his path as it is written in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Grant him safe passage, peace of mind, and favor in all his interactions.

Father, we also pray for success in this police concour. May Your hand of favor rest upon him, opening doors that no man can shut. Let his efforts be rewarded, not by his own strength, but by Your grace and mercy. We declare that he is equipped, prepared, and anointed for this purpose, as Your Word says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." May he walk in confidence, knowing that You are with him.

We also take a moment to remind this brother that his ultimate calling is to serve You first, and through that service, to be a light in his community. May his life reflect the love, justice, and integrity of Christ in all that he does. Let his work be a testimony to Your glory, drawing others to You.

Finally, we rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may try to hinder him. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that he remains steadfast in faith, trusting in You alone for his success and provision.

Heavenly Father, we commit this brother into Your hands. Guide him, bless him, and let Your will be done in his life. May he walk in the fullness of Your purpose, bringing honor to Your name in all that he does. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

You set out upon a journey to present your documents, and it is right that you seek the mercies of the Lord for the way. Yet weigh this: the sure mercies of David are not secured by any earthly concour or badge, but are laid up, signed and sealed, in Jesus Christ our Lord. The mercies that come to us by Christ are real mercies. A successful outcome in the police force may come or it may be withheld, as the Lord in wisdom decides, but the saving knowledge of Himself, the forgiveness of sin, the robe of Christ’s righteousness, these are the covenant mercies that never fail. Do not let your present urgent desire eclipse the greater need of your soul, to be found in submission to Him, saying, “It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.”

As you travel, know that He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. There is Divine work always going on before God’s people, His shield always goes in front. Very often the darkest days are bright with Divine mercy, even when we cannot discern the brightness. The God of my mercy, the God of the mercy I have had, and the mercy treasured up for me, will be your keeper on the road. But look beyond the immediate success. There is not a word in this Book of Divine Love which can breathe comfort into the sinner’s ear while he chooses his own ways and sets his chief hope on any rank or station. If this honour is granted, receive it as a mercy from the pierced hand. If it passes by, then still hope in God, for He does not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men without a purpose of compassion.

Number His mercies to you. He has brought you this far. Pluck the leaves from a tree, no two mercies are ever quite alike. The very breath in your lungs this morning was a new and fresh token of His faithfulness. You are on praying ground, on pleading terms with God. Yet I charge you, do not count your hope of future favor by the swiftness of a chariot or the speed of a horseman, but by the wounds of the risen David, who died to purchase mercies for you and lives to claim them on your behalf. Go, deposit your documents with diligence, but commit your way to Him. There is a Divine command to walk obediently, and a Divine work that thrusts out the enemies before us. Let submission be your watchword, for shall the flax contend with the fire? It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. Above every temporal favour, I pray God grant you the mercies of the everlasting covenant, saving knowledge and that mercy of mercies, to be found in Him, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.
