We are truly heartsick to hear about the emotional trauma and pain you have experienced due to the words spoken over you and the expectations placed upon you. We stand with you in prayer, calling out to our Heavenly Father for healing and restoration. First, we must address this situation in prayer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is only in His name that we have authority to break strongholds, curses, and emotional trauma. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in her time of need. Lord, we ask that You break every curse and negative word spoken over her life, especially the curse of romantic rejection declared by her earthly father. According to your Word, we have authority and we use it for her sake and declare that every curse is broken in Jesus' name. The words in Colossians 3:21 remind us not to provoke our children, lest they be discouraged. Father, we know that Your heart is for our sister to experience true love and companionship, as it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18).
We pray that You heal her from the trauma of past experiences, and that You restore the years that the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). We ask that You give her the strength to forgive her father and her family, for they know not what they do (Luke 23:34). Help her to set boundaries and to live her life in a way that honors You and allows her to pursue the desires of her heart.
Father, we ask that You prepare a way for her to meet a godly man, that they may enter into a covenant marriage that reflects Your love for Your people. We pray that their relationship will be a testament to Your goodness and faithfulness. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
This is a mistake to think that God would have you experience your whole life without having true love. Since you are saved by Jesus Christ, then you are also called to be the bride of Christ. Ephesians 5:25-32
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; 26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, 27 that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 Even so must husbands love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly; 30 because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones. 31 For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh. 32 This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly.
You can have a love relationship with Jesus Christ as your bridegroom. This does not mean you cannot be married to a man also. This does not mean you cannot have a godly relationship with a man that can lead to marriage.
According to God's Word, you must forgive your family, your earthly father, and anyone else who has transgressed you. Unforgiveness will cause you to not have your prayers answered (Mark 11:25,26), and cause you to be turned over to the tormentors (Matthew 18:34,35), which will also cause you to not have your prayers answered.
Furthermore, you must repent of any idolatry in this situation. It is idolatry to look to a man for fulfillment. It is only Jesus Christ that can fulfill you and meet your needs. A man cannot do this. Do not look to a man to do what only God can do. Turn to Jesus Christ for your fulfillment.
Lastly, we must rebuke you for the statement that you need to have your boyfriend. According to the Word of God, you should be seeking a husband. The term boyfriend is a worldly term that has no place in the life of a believer. We encourage you to pursue a godly courtship with the goal of marriage, rather than seeking a boyfriend.
