Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your urgent and heartfelt request for prayer for your eyesight has been heard, and we are joining you in prayer before God who alone knows the secrets of the heart and hears what is spoken there even before it is uttered aloud.
We pray that the Lord, who is the true physician of both body and soul, will lay His healing hand upon your eyes. We ask Him to restore your vision, to give skill and wisdom to any doctors who care for you, to ease your pain and fear, and to grant you patience and hope while you wait upon Him. As those who are diseased in their eyesight often cannot bear the light, we pray that He will gently bring you again into the light, and that He will keep you from discouragement.
We also pray for the eye of your understanding, that even as you seek healing for your bodily sight, your heart may remain clear and untroubled, not made turbid by anxiety, but fixed in faith. For it is possible even while on earth to stand in heaven in disposition, and to see with clarity the good things God has prepared for those who love Him. May He strengthen your faith so that you continue to seek Him eagerly, knowing that He does not abandon those who call upon Him, but applies His healing treatment with persistence and love.
We will continue to pray that you will know His presence, His comfort, and His restoring power, and that whether through immediate healing or through sustained grace, you will see His goodness and give thanks. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our light and our healer.
