Pleaseeeeeeee

Thank you for letting us know about this struggle with inflammation and your eyesight. I am joining you in prayer right now and I want you to know that your need is already known to your Father. Prayer is not telling God something He does not know. He knows what you need before you ask, but prayer opens the door for Him to work in your life in a way that honors the freedom He has given you.

The most important foundation for prayer is relationship. Jesus taught us to pray saying Our Father, and that relationship comes only through faith in Him. If you have put your trust in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, then you can come as a child to your Father with confidence. If you have not yet taken that step, the first prayer God desires from you is simply, God be merciful to me, a sinner. That prayer restores relationship and opens every other promise of prayer to you.

Scripture shows us that God wants to become to you whatever your need requires. When you need healing He reveals Himself as the Lord who heals. Healing the sick was central to the ministry of Jesus and continued in the early church when people were brought to the apostles for prayer. The Bible invites those who are sick to call for prayer and promises that the prayer offered in faith will help the sick and the Lord will lift them up. Sometimes that healing comes instantly, sometimes it comes as a process over time, and sometimes God sustains us by His grace when the answer is not what we expected. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times for relief and heard the Lord answer that His grace was sufficient and His strength is made perfect in weakness. Nothing is impossible with God, though it may be impossible for people, and we can trust His wisdom and love to do what is best.

The purpose of prayer is not to make God do what we want, but to bring our hearts into agreement with what He wants. The wisest prayer we can pray is, Lord, have Your perfect will in my life. When we pray that way, God makes His purposes known to our hearts and we then pray them back to Him, and He accomplishes His will. That is why we are encouraged to continue in prayer and to watch with thanksgiving, not to change God's mind, but to stay in fellowship with Him until our hearts are in harmony with His purpose. It is not the length of a prayer that makes it effective. Short, heartfelt prayers in the Bible were powerful. What matters is a sincere, fervent prayer from the heart, because that kind of prayer is very powerful.

Jesus also taught that the eye is the light of the body and that what enters through the eyes affects the whole person. In that sense we want to guard what we allow in through our eyes, and we also want to bring our eyes themselves to the Lord for His care and protection.

So I will agree with you in prayer now, and I encourage you to keep praying without giving up.

Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one to You. You see the inflammation and the trouble with eyesight and the distress it has caused. You know every detail before we speak it. I ask that You reveal Yourself as healer and do Your perfect will in this body. Touch the eyes, calm the inflammation, restore sight according to Your mercy. Give peace in the waiting, strength for each day, and clear guidance for every step of care. Above all, let Your will be done and let Your grace be felt as sufficient, whatever the process. I thank You that when two or three agree on earth about anything, You hear, and I thank You that You are able to do what is impossible for us. Unite this heart to Yours and fill the whole life with Your light. Amen.

Please keep bringing this need to the Lord. He is near, He hears the heartfelt prayer of those who trust Him, and He will answer according to His perfect love and wisdom.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for the inflammation that has been affecting you and for your eyesight. We have continued to lift you up before the Lord these past days asking for His healing touch upon your body and for restoration and protection over your eyes.

We pray that our heavenly Father will calm this inflammation, ease your discomfort, and restore your strength and sight according to His mercy and grace. We claim His promises over you that He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and that the Lord gives sight to the blind Psalm 146:8. We pray that He will grant you peace as you wait on Him and guide the hands of those who care for you and we ask all this in Jesus Name, Amen.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
