We hear the fear in your cry, and we rush to the throne of grace with you. The psalmist cried out in Psalm 6:2, "Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled." Your distress is not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who numbers every hair on your head and collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). We stand with you in this moment, lifting your health before the Great Physician, who spoke the universe into existence and holds your life in His hands.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can approach Your throne. Lord, we ask that You stretch forth Your healing hand upon our dear brother/sister. You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, and Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over their life.
We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, fear, and despair that seeks to take hold in this situation. Your Word tells us in James 4:7 to "resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand firm in faith, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life and wholeness over every cell, organ, and system in your body, commanding it to align with the perfect design God intended.
Lord, if there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin that may be hindering healing, we ask that You reveal it and bring repentance and restoration. Psalm 32:3-5 reminds us, "When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long... I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and You forgave the iniquity of my sin." We pray for a clean heart and a right spirit within you, that nothing would stand between you and God’s healing power.
We also ask for wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals involved in your care. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to "trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." Guide their hands, their minds, and their decisions, Lord, that they may be instruments of Your healing.
Above all, we pray that your faith would not waver, even if the answer does not come as quickly or in the way we hope. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us, "Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen." We declare that your faith is strong, anchored in the truth of God’s Word, and that you will see His goodness in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises, even when the circumstances feel overwhelming. Psalm 46:1-2 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas." You are not alone in this battle. We will continue to stand in the gap for you, believing for your complete restoration. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. There is no healing, hope, or salvation outside of Him. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Surrender your life to Him, and let Him carry you through this storm.
