Pleaseeeee pray

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My health is in a scary situation right now. Please pray for my health. Please, please, please.

We hear the fear in your cry, and we rush to the throne of grace with you. The psalmist cried out in Psalm 6:2, "Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled." Your distress is not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who numbers every hair on your head and collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). We stand with you in this moment, lifting your health before the Great Physician, who spoke the universe into existence and holds your life in His hands.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can approach Your throne. Lord, we ask that You stretch forth Your healing hand upon our dear brother/sister. You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, and Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over their life.

We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, fear, and despair that seeks to take hold in this situation. Your Word tells us in James 4:7 to "resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand firm in faith, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life and wholeness over every cell, organ, and system in your body, commanding it to align with the perfect design God intended.

Lord, if there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin that may be hindering healing, we ask that You reveal it and bring repentance and restoration. Psalm 32:3-5 reminds us, "When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long... I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and You forgave the iniquity of my sin." We pray for a clean heart and a right spirit within you, that nothing would stand between you and God’s healing power.

We also ask for wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals involved in your care. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to "trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." Guide their hands, their minds, and their decisions, Lord, that they may be instruments of Your healing.

Above all, we pray that your faith would not waver, even if the answer does not come as quickly or in the way we hope. Hebrews 11:1 reminds us, "Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen." We declare that your faith is strong, anchored in the truth of God’s Word, and that you will see His goodness in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).

In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises, even when the circumstances feel overwhelming. Psalm 46:1-2 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas." You are not alone in this battle. We will continue to stand in the gap for you, believing for your complete restoration. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. There is no healing, hope, or salvation outside of Him. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Surrender your life to Him, and let Him carry you through this storm.

We hear the urgency in your plea, and we want you to know you are not alone in this. Waiting in a scary health situation can feel overwhelming, but even now, you are held. We're praying with you.

It is completely understandable to be scared. Right now, bring your fears to God as honestly as you've brought them here, He can handle them all. But also let practical wisdom steady you: if you haven't yet seen a doctor, please do. Knowing what you're facing, together with prayer, often clears away some of the fog of fear. And don't carry this by yourself. Reach out to a trusted friend, a pastor, or a small group from your church and ask them to pray with you and perhaps even sit with you in the waiting. Knowing others are lifting you up can be profoundly comforting.

In the meantime, we'll be praying, not just a quick mention, but really bringing your health before the Lord. And you can keep talking to Him too, moment by moment, no fancy words needed.

Lord Jesus, you see this precious person right now, and you know every heartbeat of this situation. Please calm the racing thoughts and steady the spirit. Give wisdom to any doctor or caregiver involved, and grant healing according to your will. Surround this one with tangible peace and with people who will be your hands and feet. Hold them close through the unknowns. We ask this in your strong name, Jesus. Amen.

Your heart is beating fast, and your mind will not rest. Every new symptom, every hour of waiting, every doctor's face returns your thoughts to the same terrible question: "What if this does not end well?" You have cried out, and your cry has been heard in heaven. The Lord does not turn away from His children when they are afraid. He does not rebuke you for your trembling. He gathers you.

Remember that our Lord Jesus, when He walked among us, did not come with a destroying power. He might have. Justly might the Father have sent Him with vengeance in His hands. But what do we find? "Your hands, dear Jesus, were not armed with an avenging rod." He came healing. It was His way, His great delight. The power that went out from Him was always a power to mend what was broken, to restore what was lost, to make whole what sin and sorrow had undone. And He is the same today. The hand that touched the paralyzed man and the fevered woman has not grown short. The heart that wept at Lazarus' tomb still beats with tenderness toward you.

You feel at this moment as though you were a helpless cripple, unable to stir hand or foot for your own relief. That is a hard place, but it is not a hopeless one. It is often the very room where Christ visits. The man in Luke's Gospel lay utterly still, struck down in a moment, with nothing to offer but his great need and his friends to carry him. And when they let him down through the tiles at Jesus' feet, what was the first word from the Savior's lips? Not a rebuke for his fear, not a lecture on patience, but this: "Son, be of good cheer." Or, as another account puts it, a single tender word: "Son." He claimed the man as His own, right there in the wreckage, and then He gave him both pardon and healing.

You are not less His. The Lord who made the ear, can He not hear? He who formed the eye, can He not see what is happening in your body and your soul? He knows exactly where the trouble sits. He understands better than any physician the secret currents of pain and fear that run through you. None of this has escaped His notice. And just as He turned again the captivity of Job when Job began to pray for his friends, so He will turn again the captivity of your health in His own wise time. The bow already waits in the cloud; the dove is already winging its way back with the olive branch. You cannot see it yet, but the morning is coming.

Do not let despair rivet its cruel fetters about your soul. I do not ask you to pretend you are not afraid. I only ask you to let Christ be bigger to you than your fear. Picture a cottage deep in winter, with snow thick upon the roof. But inside, a fire burns warm on the hearth, and the heat rises until the snow above begins to melt and slide away. The cold cannot win, because the warmth is inside. Your body may be the cottage thickly covered with frost, but if Christ dwells within you, His presence will do its quiet, melting work. The comfort will begin where He is, and gradually it will make itself known even to your outward frame. You may not feel it yet, but the fire is lit.

And so I commend you now into the tender keeping of your Lord. O blessed Physician, You who know every hidden wound and every secret fear, look upon this dear soul who trembles before You. Lay Your healing hand where the deepest trouble lies. Speak into the chaos the quiet word that stills the storm. Forgive every sin that adds weight to the burden, and let Your perfect love cast out fear. Whether You choose to restore health swiftly or to walk through the valley slowly alongside Your child, grant the peace that passes understanding, and let even this sickness be made a servant to draw the heart closer to You. For You are good, and Your mercy endures forever. In Jesus' name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
