Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and allowing us to pray for you. I am praying that you will wake up to good news, and even more that you will know God's presence while you wait for it.
The New Testament always puts grace before peace, and for a good reason. You cannot truly know the peace of God in your heart until you have received and understood the grace of God. My prayer for you is that you will experience both in a multiplied way, first His grace covering you through Jesus Christ, and then His peace guarding your heart and mind as you trust Him with what lies ahead.
Waiting is one of the hardest parts of faith. Scripture speaks often about the patience of hope, that quiet confidence that God will work in His time because He has promised to do so. Hope is what sustains us when we do not yet see the answer. If we could already see it, it would not be hope. But when we hope for what we do not yet see, we wait for it with patience, trusting that God is faithful and that His word is true.
God is called the God of hope, and there is no real lasting hope apart from Him. But when you have Him, hope expands. He is able to fill you with all joy and peace as you believe, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. That joy and peace do not come from circumstances turning out exactly as we wish, but from believing what God has said about His love, His care, and His future for you. The Holy Spirit makes those promises real to your heart.
Your hope as a believer is not a wish. It is a living hope because Jesus rose from the dead. That resurrection is the foundation that makes our hope alive and sure. It is also a purifying and sustaining hope that keeps an eternal perspective before us, so that discouragement and fear do not overwhelm us. Without God there is no hope, but in Christ you have been brought near and you have a hope that will not fail.
So as you wait through this night and look toward the morning, bring your request to the Lord honestly and then rest in Him. Ask Him for the good news you long for, and ask Him also to fill you with His joy and peace while you wait, and to keep your heart steady in His love. He sees you, He hears your prayer, and He is working for your good even when you cannot yet see how.
