We hear your heart and we join with you in asking the Lord for good news and for His peace to rest upon you as you sleep and as you wake. We know what it is to long for a morning filled with hope and we bring your request before our Heavenly Father together.
We are reminded in scripture that God's mercies are new every morning and that He cares deeply for those who call upon Him. Lamentations 3:22-23 says It is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. And Psalm 30:5 says For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning. We also take comfort in Philippians 4:6-7 which says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray that whatever news comes, you will experience that peace which comes from trusting that God is working all things for the good of those who love Him and that His will is perfect even when our hopes feel uncertain.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to lovingly share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that we pray and find assurance that our prayers are heard.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. You know the longing for good news and the heaviness that may come at night. We ask that You grant restful sleep and that You awaken this heart to Your loving kindness in the morning. Let the news that comes be according to Your good and perfect will, and whether it is the answer hoped for or a different path You have chosen, give faith to trust You and joy to receive Your mercies which are new every morning. Fill this heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guard thoughts and heart in Christ Jesus. Draw this dear one closer to You through Your Son Jesus, that there may be confidence in approaching Your throne of grace. We ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Your heartfelt request has been heard and we are bringing you before the Lord in prayer, asking that He would grant you mercy and peace in the morning.
We understand the thirst for good news, for as it is written, as cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country. There are two kinds of good news that are like those cold waters. The first is good news from God for sinners, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, even the vilest of the vile, by His free grace from beginning to end. No preparation is required, no good works or good feelings to make you worthy, for He came to seek and to save that which was lost. If you know yourself to be a sinner with nothing good in yourself, this news meets your case, for He can save you for His own sake. The second is good news from Heaven for saints, for those who have believed, that Heaven is near and many saints have already reached the Fair Havens, and that Christ sympathizes with His people and answers their seeking with peace.
We are praying that you will wake to good news indeed, and above all that you would know the best good news from a far country, that there is hope and certainty for every soul that trusts in Jesus. His name is God That Is Good, and He delights in mercy and rejoices to receive returning children. Do not say there is no hope, for there is hope in God through believing in Jesus Christ. Acquaint yourself with Him and be at peace, seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.
Our prayer for you is this, that the Lord would quiet your heart tonight and let you rest in His care, that you would wake with a sense of His presence and His provision, and that whatever news this day brings, you would have the deep and lasting good news of sins forgiven and peace with God through the blood of Christ. May He satisfy your mouth with good things and fill your heart with gladness, and may you be enabled to praise Him whether in joy or in trial, knowing that since Jesus died your hope lives.
