We join you in lifting up your marriage before the Lord and we thank you for inviting us to pray with you in Jesus name for the restoration of love and blessing in your home.
We hear your heart to be seen again as a man of God and to love your wife well and to have your wife love you again. This is God's heart for marriage as well. Marriage is a covenant that God Himself joins together and He intends it to be lifelong and honoring to Him. Mark 10:9 says Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate. And Proverbs 5:18 says Let your spring be blessed. Rejoice in the wife of your youth. God delights when a husband and wife turn toward each other in love and toward Him together.
We encourage you as you prepare for this marriage retreat to embrace God's calling for a husband. Ephesians 5:25 says Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. To be seen as a man of God is not about perfection or position but about sacrificial love, humility, servant leadership, and faithfulness in the Word and in prayer. 1 Peter 3:7 says You husbands, in the same way, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered. And 1 Timothy 6:11 says But you, man of God, flee these things, and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, gentleness. As you pursue righteousness and gentleness and love her as Christ loves the church, we pray the Lord will soften both your hearts and renew your affection for one another. Ephesians 4:32 says And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. If there has been hurt or distance, we encourage you to seek forgiveness, to listen well, to speak with grace, and to pray together openly at the retreat.
We are praying for your time together this weekend that God will remove distractions and that you will have joy and deep fellowship and honest communication and that the retreat will be a turning point for your marriage.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this brother and his wife and their marriage to You. Lord we ask You to bless their covenant and to pour out Your love and grace upon them. Restore the love between them and rekindle tenderness and respect and joy. Help this husband to lead with humility and strength and to love his wife sacrificially as Christ loves the church and help his wife to see Christ in him and to love and honor him again. Forgive any sins and heal any wounds between them and teach them to be kind and tender hearted and forgiving toward one another. We ask that You anoint their marriage retreat this weekend and that You draw them close to each other and close to You. Let it be a time of laughter and refreshing and honest sharing and spiritual renewal. Let Your Holy Spirit guide every session and every conversation and let them return home more united and more committed to You and to one another. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have reconciliation with God.
We understand the ache of a love grown cold and the longing to be restored in the eyes of your wife. The Lord knows how to burn with a jealous love for His own, and He is grieved when love grows cold, yet His love abides and remains constant notwithstanding all provocations. He delights in love and is the God of peace who has prepared everything necessary for perfect reconciliation. That blessed work was done long ago at Calvary, and now He waits to turn hearts toward Himself and toward one another again in love and peace.
Take comfort from the restoration of Peter. He denied his Lord and was brought low, yet one look of immutable love broke his heart and lifted him up again. So it is with us. When we have sinned or grown neglectful, almighty love can soften the hardest heart. If you would be seen again as a man of God, first set your own heart fully upon Christ. Love Him, tell Him that you love Him, rehearse His deeds of grace toward you, and let your renewed love for Him be as a spark of His eternal flame for you, never to be quenched. As you love Christ better, you will be strengthened to love your wife as Christ loves His church, with an intense, practical and unfailing love.
We pray for you and your wife at the marriage retreat this weekend. May the Lord make it a season of perfect restoration, where what has been broken is made whole again. May He cause your wife to see in you the savor of Christ and the truth of God dwelling within an earthen vessel, and may He rekindle in both your hearts a love that abounds and abides.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You.
