I am in counseling for some issues i caused in my marriage please pray that I get something out of it today I really don’t know if it’s going to be satisfactory to my wife but that she sees some positive results from this in Jesus name Akso pray for my marriage to have a better next 12 years to my wife and I both than our first 12 years together in Jesus name

We join you in prayer today and we thank you for your honesty and humility in taking responsibility for the issues you caused in your marriage. That humble heart is pleasing to God and is the beginning of healing. We are encouraged that you are seeking counseling and that you desire restoration and a stronger future together. God honors a contrite heart and a desire to make things right.

The scriptures tell us He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them obtains mercy Proverbs 28:13. And If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We also are reminded to Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed James 5:16. Your willingness to go to counseling and to seek growth shows you are walking in that confession and desire for healing.

We believe with you that marriage is a sacred and lifelong covenant between a man and a woman as God designed it, and what therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Mark 10:9. God is able to restore and redeem even difficult seasons. He promises to restore the years that have been broken and to make all things new when we walk in His ways.

We pray together for you in Jesus name. Father, we lift up our brother to You today. We thank You for his willingness to seek help and to take ownership of his part in the struggles of his marriage. We ask that You would be present in his counseling session today, that You would give wisdom to the counselor and openness and understanding to his heart. Give him ears to hear, a teachable spirit, and the ability to apply what he learns. Lord, let the fruit of this time be evident, not just to him but to his wife, that she may see genuine change, sincerity, and the work You are doing in him. Soften both of their hearts toward one another, help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, and to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32.

We pray for their marriage that You would strengthen their covenant and make the next twelve years far better than the first twelve. Teach him to love his wife even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25, with sacrificial, patient, and steadfast love. Help them to bear with one another in love and to let love be the bond of perfection Colossians 3:14. Restore joy, trust, communication, and intimacy that honors You within the marriage. Guard their union from the enemy and build it on the rock of Your Word. May their marriage be a testimony of Your grace, forgiveness, and restoring power.

We thank You that you have asked in the name of Jesus, for it is by that name we have access to the Father and it is in that name we are saved, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me John 14:6. We are grateful you have called on Him.

We encourage you to continue in this humble path, to remain consistent in counseling, to walk daily in repentance where needed, to seek the Lord together in prayer and in His Word, and to show your wife through steady actions over time that God is changing you. Do not be discouraged if progress seems slow, for God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun. We continue to stand with you both for healing, hope, and a beautiful future together in Christ. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly. It takes humility to own the issues you caused and to keep showing up for counseling even when you are unsure how your wife will receive it.

We are encouraged that you are in counseling and that you want the next twelve years to be marked by growth for both of you. That forward looking desire and willingness to take responsibility are at the heart of good Christian counseling, where Christ is present in the room and the deeper goal is becoming more like Him and growing in intimacy with God and with each other.

For today, it can help to go in with a simple posture: listen well, own what is yours without defending, and look for one clear takeaway. At the end of the session you might ask your counselor, what is one concrete way I can practice what we talked about this week. Jot it down, and later share it briefly with your wife without pressing for a response. Give her space to notice change over time rather than needing immediate reassurance today.

We are praying for you and your wife and for your marriage in the years ahead.

Father, we lift this brother to You today. Be with him in his counseling session, help him hear with an open heart and take a faithful next step. Comfort and encourage his wife, and draw them both closer to You and to each other in the years to come. Give them wisdom, patience and hope as they walk forward together. In Jesus name, amen.

We have heard your request and we carry it with you to the throne of grace, where our Lord Jesus ever lives to make intercession for His people.

You have done well to own the issues you caused in your marriage and to seek help, for the first sign of restoration is to go out from the place of sin and to weep as Peter wept when the Lord gave him that piercing yet loving look. That look severed Peter from the crowd and broke his heart, and the same look of Christ, full of sorrow and love, can break and heal your heart also. Remember that before Peter fell the Lord said, I have prayed for you, and that prayer prevailed for his restoration. So we trust the same Lord who prayed for Peter prays for you now, and He is able to lift you up and to turn you again to your first love and hope.

We will pray that your time in counseling today shall not be in vain. We ask the God of peace, who has prepared everything necessary for perfect reconciliation through Jesus Christ, to give you an honest and tender heart to hear what is true, to receive correction, and to bring forth fruit worthy of repentance. We pray that your wife may indeed see positive results, not merely words but the signs of a restored soul, as Peter showed by his going out and his bitter weeping, and afterward by his steadfast love in feeding the flock. May the Lord who restores my soul work in you by His Spirit, for all our healing lies in Christ and not in any way round by Sinai.

We also join you in praying for your marriage, that covenant which God has ordained between one man and one woman for life, cemented by mutual love wherein the two become one. Such a union is not of mere birth but of choice, and is to be kept in affectionate communion. We ask that He who has committed unto us the word of reconciliation, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, would work reconciliation in your home. May He grant that the next twelve years together shall be better than the first twelve, not because the past is forgotten without grace, but because you both are made better Christians ever afterwards, walking more closely with Christ and strengthening one another.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who art the God of peace, look upon this brother and his wife. Thou knowest his sin and his sorrow. For Jesus sake forgive him and restore his soul. Give him grace today in counsel to learn, to confess, and to amend. Let his wife see in him the work of Thy hands and give her grace to hope again. Knit their hearts together in holy love and make their marriage to reflect the marriage of the Lamb to His Church, in holiness and fidelity. Keep them and bless their covenant in the years to come, that they may glorify Thee together, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
