Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing what is on your heart and for trusting us to pray with you. We hear how heavy this is, worrying for ### with her heart and breathing and other health issues, while your whole family is going through so much and you feel like giving up.
Please know you are not alone in this. God sees you and your family in this pressing time, and He hears your prayers. Scripture reminds us that we can be pressed on every side yet not crushed, perplexed yet not driven to despair, pursued yet not forsaken. That is not because our strength is great, but because His power sustains us.
One of the great encouragements of our faith is that as long as we are in this life, while it is still called Today, there is hope. Do not despair of God's mercy or His nearness. The enemy never gives up in trying to bring us down, how much more should we not give up in trusting the Lord who saves us. Even when we feel we have no strength left, patience can still work in us, and that patient endurance can strengthen our hope in God, because He has brought so many through dangers before and He is faithful still.
We are praying for you and for ### now.
Father in heaven, we lift up ### to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know her body, her heart and her breathing and every other need. We ask for Your healing hand upon her, for wisdom for those caring for her, and for Your peace to guard her. We lift up this dear one who wrote to us and their whole family. Lord, when they feel like giving up, be their strength. Remind them that their hope is in You, and that hope will not disappoint. Comfort them, uphold them day by day, and help them to feel Your presence and the support of those around them. Give them grace to keep exhorting and encouraging one another daily while it is still Today. We ask this in the saving name of Jesus, our only hope. Amen.
We will continue to keep you and ### and your family in prayer. If the feeling of wanting to give up grows heavier, please reach out right away to a trusted pastor, counselor, or someone close to you, and keep bringing every burden to the Lord in prayer. He is near to those who call on Him.
