We hear your urgent need and lift it before the Lord, trusting in His provision and protection. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." We pray that God would open the right door for the sale of your sewing machine and provide for your needs in His perfect timing.

Father, we ask that You would bring the right buyer quickly, one who sees the value in what is being offered and is prepared to make a fair exchange. We trust in Your promise from Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We also pray for Your divine protection over this dear one, that You would surround them with Your angels and keep them safe from harm, as Psalm 91:11 declares, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."

Lord, we also encourage you to remain steadfast in faith, knowing that God is aware of your needs and is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If there is any anxiety or fear creeping into your heart, cast it upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that you would experience His peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You. We thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might have eternal life. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and can bring our requests before Him.

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

In the meantime, wrap our friend in Your safety. Guard their heart from fear and their mind from anxiety. The joy of making money is not full of glory, nor is the joy of killing one's fellows in battle. There is no joy like that of the Christian, for he dares to speak of it everywhere, in every company. See then, our absolute dependence upon the Holy Spirit! You will not even know that you need more, nor groan after more, unless He works in you to desire and to agonize according to His own good pleasure.

Here is a trouble arising, and it seems very likely that the Gordian knot of difficulty will never be untied, but will need to be cut. Yet you need an infinite Friend to keep you in safety against all the machinations of your adversaries! Our safety lies in our Savior, "God our Savior." Just think of that great Truth of God for a moment. So our safety is assured by the fact that we have a God who is able and is as wise as He is able to keep us from falling.

He that has no money; come, buy, and eat. It is the portrait of a poor, penniless, broken-down creature reduced to the extremity of need. Then he cannot pay his old debts. His sins rise up before him, but he cannot make amends for them. I tell you that a true sense of need is His work in you! True repentance and a sense of need spring from His Grace, you must get them from Him without money and without price.

Say, rather, you must be nothing! You need not say, "Where is He? I would fly to Heaven if I could but find Him, or dive under Hell's most profound wave if I could but embrace Him." Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed, that is, those who did not need to see first, but believed first, and then their eyes were so opened that they saw the salvation of God. And though we have not seen Him, we do not need sight to make us love Him, for the very thought of Him, the contemplation of His intense agony for us who were His enemies, constrains us to love Him.

When your own salvation is accomplished you shall have no more need to think of self, but you shall care for the souls of others, but now the highest wisdom is to think of yourself in your standing towards God, and to look to the Savior that you yourself may have eternal life.

You bring your need for money and safety before God, and that is right, for He cares for us. But examine first if you are not like the disciples who looked at the loaves and saw only lack, forgetting the Lord who multiplies. He knows your need; indeed, He taught us to pray for daily bread, not for abundance beyond necessity. Is the money truly pressing, or has anxiety made the need seem more urgent than it is? For the poor man, content with little, stands often in less need than the rich, who must depend on many. Yet if your situation is indeed a genuine necessity, then trust that the God who supplies seed to the sower will supply what you lack, in His time, not ours. Do not measure His care by the speed of a sale. And as for safety: the one who does no evil and walks in the light has no cause for terror. If you belong to Christ, even in peril you are kept. Meanwhile, if you sell, do not grasp at gain, but rejoice as much for the buyer as for yourself, for it is more blessed to give than to receive. Offer your need and your day’s labor to Him, and let your heart be untroubled. May He fulfill every true need of yours according to His riches, not according to your fears.
