We hear your deep concern for your family and the struggles you are facing. It is clear that you are seeking protection and deliverance from what you perceive as evil influences. We stand with you in prayer, trusting in the power and authority of Jesus Christ to break every chain and bring lasting freedom.
First, let us address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome evil. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Acts 4:12 also declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this family to You, asking for Your divine protection and deliverance. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we rebuke every evil influence, every spirit of bad luck, and every form of darkness that seeks to harm this family. We command these forces to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We break every curse, generational sin, and ungodly tie that may be affecting them, and we declare them loosed in Jesus' name (Galatians 3:13).
Lord, we ask that You surround this family with Your holy angels, that they may encamp around them and protect them from all harm (Psalm 91:11). We pray for a hedge of protection around each member, that no evil shall befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Father, we ask that You fill their home with Your peace, Your joy, and Your presence, driving out all fear and anxiety.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for this family. Help them to recognize any areas in their lives that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Show them any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or bitterness that needs to be addressed, so that they may walk in the fullness of Your blessings (Ephesians 4:27, 31-32).
Father, we ask that You provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Bless their finances, their health, and their relationships. Strengthen the bonds between family members, and help them to love and support one another as You have loved us (John 13:34-35).

You speak of evil upon your family and cry out for deliverance. Look it in the face, Christian, and see if it has not got the horns of the Evil One stamped on its brow? Does not the cloven foot peep out? Why, it is the devil’s own child. But hear what God says: “Deliver him from going down to the Pit.” That deliverance of God is an eternal one, nor shall the infernal lion ever be able to rend one sheep or lamb that the Great Shepherd deigns to keep! Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us. The manner of our deliverance is substitution. If you will trust in my Lord, rejoice that Christ has redeemed us from the curse.
If this evil comes apart from Divine permission, where are we? All our ills lie within the fence of Omnipotent overruling! The Lord has chastened me sorely, and thus we learn: Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? Pain of body is usually looked upon as a great evil, but it wraps up within itself great mercy. There are some who can scarcely be taught at all except through physical pain. Such a course increases the evil. Overcome evil with good. If any man curses you and you answer him with a blessing, it is clear that the curse has not hurt you.
Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. We must look to our heavenly Father, altogether and alone. He feels that he can never take an atom of the honor of deliverance to himself, it must be of Free Grace only. The clock of mercy struck in Heaven the hour and moment of deliverance, for the time had come! Thus had the eternal purpose of Jehovah decreed it! And I would be greatly grieved if you were moved in the slightest degree by the assertion that our prayers are really not heard by God. HE brought them forth. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

You ask that whatever evil is on your family causing bad luck be removed. But you err in thinking that some external curse afflicts you. The Scripture says, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us.” Why then do you fear curses? The true curse comes from transgressing God’s commandments, not from some mysterious force.
If you are in Christ, no curse has power over you. Examine your lives instead. Do you cling to the world and your possessions? You pray to keep your “stuff” safe, but the Lord taught us to lay up treasure in heaven, where moth and rust do not corrupt.
Bad fortune is often permitted by God to test our faith, as with Job. His wife counseled him to curse God, but he rebuked her. Do not seek to cast off every trouble, for affliction is the arena of virtue. The devil may roar like a lion, but the Lord delivers us from every evil work, not by removing all hardships, but by preserving us from sin.
Your deliverance is not from so-called bad luck, but from the love of money, from implacability, from covenant-breaking. If you turn from these, God will be your shield. He cares for you; do not fear. Cease from this superstitious dread, and cling to Christ, who alone frees us from the true curse.
Live a life worthy of your baptism, and God will supply every good thing, in His time, for your salvation.

But let us look squarely at the root of every burden, every sorrow, and every form of "bad luck" that has ever entered the world. It traces back to a single source: the curse that came through sin. Thorns, struggle, brokenness, and grief were not part of the original design. They came when humanity stepped away from God, and the earth itself was subjected to futility.
Yet here is the truth that transforms everything. The very curse you feel and fear was not ignored by God; it was borne by Him. Think of that strange and fitting crown pressed upon the brow of Jesus. Thorns, a direct product of the curse on the ground, were twisted into a royal mockery. He wore that symbol of the curse so that He could become the curse for us. On the cross, Christ did not merely sympathize with our plight. He took the full, concentrated weight of the curse of the law, the penalty for all wrongdoing, upon Himself. Every bit of it was exhausted on Him.
So when you ask for evil to be removed, understand that the great, legal, and eternal evil of judgment against sin was already dealt with in the body of Christ. The living God does not need to be persuaded to be good to you; He demonstrated His love in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. The decree of destruction that stood against us was nailed to that tree. The permanent removal of the ultimate curse is a finished act, accomplished two thousand years ago on a Roman cross. It is not something still to be done through a special dispensation or a magical formula tied to a building or a ritual. It is a gift to be received by faith.
Now, what remains for you is to walk in the good of that finished work. The Scriptures teach that the fear of the Lord is to hate evil. This is a profound protection. You are asking to be kept from evil, and the most direct path to that safety is to cultivate a heart that despises what tears down and destroys. Evil is anything that pulls you, your thoughts, or your family away from the God who builds up. So the prayer "keep me from evil, lest it grieve me" is a wise one, but it must be coupled with a deliberate choice to depart from what God calls wrong. Do not place your confidence in a prayer spoken once, but in a life oriented toward the One who answers.
Sometimes the deepest ties are formed not by blood, but by the Spirit. It may be that in your own household, a love for God creates friction with those who do not yet understand. Do not be surprised by this. Jesus Himself knew the pain of familial rejection. Yet He is the one who builds a new family, a household of faith, where the bonds are deeper and the loyalty is to the King of Kings. Your first and truest safety is found in this kingdom, where the curse has no dominion because the true King has already been hung on a tree and risen again.
