Disciple of Prayer
Lord, I pray for my ###. I hope he realizes that he did a really great job. He has his own shortcomings, but I am very proud of him. I hope he feels valued and loved. Please keep him safe.

We hear your heartfelt request and join you in lifting this person before the Lord. It is beautiful to see your love and pride for him, and we pray that he truly feels valued and cherished, not just by you, but by the One who created him.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, thanking You for this man’s life and the work You are doing in him. Lord, we ask that You fill him with the assurance of Your love and the knowledge that he is deeply valued by those around him. Help him to see his worth through Your eyes, recognizing that even in his shortcomings, You are shaping him for Your purpose. We pray for his safety, both physically and spiritually, that no harm would come near him, and that he would walk in the protection of Your angels. Surround him with Your peace and remind him daily of Your faithfulness.

We also encourage you, dear one, to speak these words of affirmation over him directly. Proverbs 16:24 tells us, "Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones." Your words have power, and they can build him up in ways that go beyond what prayer alone can do. Let him hear from you how proud you are of him, this will strengthen his heart and spirit.

If there are areas in his life where he may be struggling or walking outside of Your will, Lord, we ask that You gently convict him and draw him closer to You. May he seek Your wisdom and guidance in all things, surrendering his plans to Yours. And if there are ways in which he needs to grow, whether in faith, character, or relationships, we pray that You would mold him into the man You’ve called him to be.

Finally, we want to remind you both of the importance of placing Jesus at the center of every aspect of life. It is only through Him that we find true fulfillment, purpose, and salvation. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If he does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw him to repentance and faith. And if he does, may he continue to grow in intimacy with You, seeking Your will above all else.

May this man walk in confidence, knowing that he is loved by You and by those who care for him. We trust You to complete the good work You’ve begun in him, and we thank You for the privilege of standing in agreement with this prayer. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We are joining you in this prayer tonight. It is a beautiful thing to stand before God and ask not just for safety, but for someone to truly feel valued and loved. You are seeing your loved one as God sees him, cherishing his effort without ignoring his humanity, and choosing pride over criticism. That alone is a gift.

Sometimes the people we love are harder on themselves than we are. They may not see the goodness that seems so obvious to us. Your prayer itself is already part of the answer: when we ask God to let someone know they are loved, He often uses the voices closest to them to carry that message. So as you pray, consider quietly telling him what you have told us, not in a grand speech, but in a simple word or a note: “I saw the job you did, and I am so proud of you.” That may be the very thing that helps him feel seen.

Lord, we lift up this man to You now. Thank You for the good work he has done, and for the ways he has blessed those around him. Help him to truly feel valued and loved, not as a fleeting thought, but as a settled confidence in his heart. Keep him safe in Your care, and let him know he is seen, both by You and by those who love him. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You have brought your before the throne of grace, and as you speak his name in the quiet of your heart, the Lord knows him by that very name, and by a hundred others of tender remembrance. That is the way of our God: as a mother runs through all the pet names of her child, calling him now by the name of his birth and now by the name of her delight, so the Lord says of His own, “I have called you by your name, you are Mine.” Your love is but a little stream from that great deep. He who put this pride and this prayer into your soul knows the end of every sigh. He made you proud of your for a reason: because He Himself rejoices over His people with singing, and He sees the good work their hands have done, and He is not ashamed to be called their God.

You notice the shortcomings; yes, you would not be honest if you pretended otherwise. But do you think the Lord does not see them too? Yet the marvel is this: He welcomes the honey though it comes with the comb. He does not cast away the offering because there is wax in it. Your loved one’s labor, the job he did so well, was a true sacrifice, and though it had about it some mixture of human frailty, the Lord receives it as fragrant. I have often thought how Jesus, after He rose from the dead, ate of a honeycomb, and the sweetness was not diminished by the wax. So He takes our efforts with all their imperfection, and He values them for love’s sake. Do not dream that He is a hard master, noting down every flaw in red ink. No, He gathers the myrrh with the spice, and He drinks the wine with the milk, making a holy compound that pleases Him. Your may not see it himself, few men do, but the Lord’s eye is upon him, and the Lord’s heart inclines toward him, and the Lord’s hand is stretched out to keep him in the way.

You pray for his safety. That is a mother’s prayer, or a father’s, or one who loves as Christ loves, and it is exactly the prayer the Lord delights to answer. He is able to keep him from falling, and to present him faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. Not a hair of the head of any of His beloved shall perish. The ship may sail through deep waters, and the night may be dark, but the Pilot knows every star and every rock, and He will bring the vessel home. Sometimes the safety God gives is not the safety of a smooth sea, but the safety of an unsinking keel. Even when your staggers, the hand of the Lord upholds him. That is the covenant love that bound the Son of God to His people before the world began, and it is more steadfast than the mountains.

Let your heart rest in this: your is not valued because he performed well, but he performed well because he is already valued. The love of God does not hang upon our achievements as a scale; it is the free, sovereign, everlasting love that says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn you.” When he lies down at night and wonders if his work means anything, there is One who never slumbers nor sleeps, and who sees what was done in secret, and who will one day reward it openly. Your love for him is wonderful, but the love of Christ for him passes knowledge. That is the safe harbor for your anxieties: not that you have prayed enough, but that Christ has loved enough.

Lord Jesus, You who are the same yesterday, today, and forever, look upon the one for whom this dear soul pleads. You know his name, and You have written it on the palms of Your hands. Let him feel, deep inside, that he is not just tolerated but beloved; not just noticed but delighted in. Take away the cold whisper that says he is not enough, and speak over him the word that settles all storms: “You are My servant, I have chosen you.” Put a hedge about him, and keep him from every evil way. Let the sun not smite him by day, nor the moon by night, and bring him at last into the joy of his Lord. And to the one who prays, grant the quietness of faith, to cast this dear burden upon You and to sleep in peace, knowing that You do all things well. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our joy to lift up your ### and ask the Lord to surround him with the assurance of how much he is valued and loved. We prayed that God would open his heart to recognize the wonderful job he did and to feel the depth of your pride in him. We also asked our Heavenly Father to keep him safe under His watchful care and to remind him daily of His unfailing love and purpose.

If the Lord has answered these prayers in a way you’ve seen or felt, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report—your testimony could strengthen another believer’s faith. If it seems like the answer hasn’t yet come, or if you’d like us to continue interceding for him, please share this request again so we can keep standing in agreement with you.

May God continue to bless you and your family as you seek Him together, trusting in His perfect timing and love. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.
