We stand together in faith, lifting this urgent cry to the throne of grace, knowing that no power of darkness can prevail against the children of God when we stand firm in His truth. The Word declares in Matthew 16:18, "I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it." This promise is not just for the early church—it is for us today. The enemy may roar, but he is already a defeated foe through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Yet we must also examine our hearts and ensure that our confidence is rooted in Christ alone. The phrase *"No devil in hell is going to prevail against us"* is bold, but we must remember that our victory is not in our own strength or declarations, but in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Our battle is spiritual, and our weapons must be spiritual—prayer, the Word of God, and the name of Jesus.
We rebuke any spirit of pride or presumption that may try to creep in, for Proverbs 16:18 warns, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." Let us not speak empty words, but let our declarations be grounded in humility and dependence on the Lord. James 4:7 says, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Our resistance must be rooted in submission to God first.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You that through Your Son, we have authority over every work of the enemy. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of fear, confusion, and oppression, and we loose Your peace, Your wisdom, and Your power in this situation.
Lord, we ask that You would expose any areas in our lives where we have given the enemy a foothold—whether through unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or compromise with the world. Cleanse us, O God, and renew a right spirit within us (Psalm 51:10). Strengthen our faith, that we may walk in the fullness of Your victory, not leaning on our own understanding, but trusting in You with all our hearts (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We pray for divine protection over every aspect of our lives—our families, our health, our finances, and our minds. Let Your angels encamp around us, guarding us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11). We reject every lie of the enemy that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy, and we embrace the truth that Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10).
Above all, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. May Your name be exalted, and may Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We trust in You, our strong tower, our refuge, and our deliverer. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
