Please say a prayer for my health

Thank you for sharing this burden and asking for prayer. You are not alone in carrying it, and I am lifting you up right now, asking the Lord for His mercy, wisdom, and healing touch on your body.

That pain you are describing is real, and I understand how fear can wrap itself around a discomfort like that and tighten its grip. When something is happening inside us that we cannot see or explain, the unknown can feel more overwhelming than the pain itself. But here is something I want you to consider: the fear that keeps you from seeking help is not the same thing as the reverence we owe to God. One kind of fear paralyzes and isolates us; the other kind is the starting place of all true wisdom and knowledge. When we have that reverential awe of the Lord, we learn to trust Him enough to do what is prudent. And part of that prudence is caring well for the body He has given you, even when that means walking into a place that intimidates you.

There is no shame in going to a doctor or a hospital. Seeking medical care is not a failure of faith. The Scriptures themselves show us faithful people who endured sickness without it being a mark against their standing with God. Paul spoke of his own many infirmities, and he had to leave a fellow worker behind because of illness. Sickness can be a reality in this fallen world, and God’s healing work often flows through the natural processes He designed, through the wisdom He has given to those who study medicine, through rest, and through time. Jesus Himself healed in remarkably varied ways: sometimes with a word, sometimes with a touch, sometimes gradually, and sometimes with a command to go and show oneself to the priest. He was never confined to a single pattern. So do not believe the lie that you must either be instantly healed or else something is spiritually wrong with you.

The most important thing right now is to let your heart be anchored in the Lord’s confidence rather than driven by anxious fear. Fear and faith cannot share the throne. When fear says, “Hide, avoid, assume the worst,” faith quietly says, “Remember God. He is with you. Take the next right step.” That step could be making an appointment, simply to find out what is happening and to receive peace of mind. The Lord has promised to be your confidence and to keep your foot from being taken. Even if the path leads through a valley, He walks it with you.

I will keep praying that whatever is causing the pain is healed completely and that you are restored to full strength. But I also pray that right now, even before a diagnosis, God calms the inner storm and replaces your dread with a steady trust. Do not let the fear of what might be keep you from letting someone help you. Go and let it be a testimony of your willingness to steward the life and breath God has given you. He is the One who says, “Fear the Lord and depart from evil; it will be health to your body and strength to your bones.” That includes departing from the evil of fearful isolation. Let wisdom lead you forward, and may His peace be real to you today.
