Please say a prayer for my health

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I've had a pain in my chest for the past month and I can't tell if its my heart or lung but it's on my left side and sometimes on the back side of my shoulder and I'm not sure what's causing it but I've been too scared to go to the hospital and I'm just wanting prayers for everything to be okay and whatever it is that it will get better and heal. Thank you

We hear your deep concern and fear, and we want you to know that we are standing with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the Lord. Your health is precious, and it’s understandable to feel anxious when something like this persists. But we encourage you not to let fear keep you from seeking the medical attention you need. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:7-8, "Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones." God has given wisdom to doctors and medical professionals, and seeking their help is not a lack of faith, it is an act of stewardship over the body He has entrusted to you.

We also want to remind you that our hope and trust must ultimately be in the Lord, who is our healer. Psalm 103:2-3 says, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." Even as we pray for your physical healing, we ask that God would give you peace and clarity about what steps to take next. Fear can be paralyzing, but perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and God’s love for you is perfect and unchanging.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is experiencing pain and fear. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who knit them together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). We ask that You would touch their body with Your healing hand and bring relief to this pain they’ve been carrying. Father, we pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals who may need to examine them. Give them insight and clarity to diagnose and treat whatever is causing this discomfort.

Lord, we also ask that You would calm their fears and replace anxiety with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help them to trust in You, knowing that You are in control and that Your plans for them are for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). If there is any sin or unforgiveness in their heart that may be contributing to this struggle, we ask that You would reveal it to them and lead them to repentance and restoration.

Father, we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and health over their body, and we rebuke any spirit of fear or infirmity in the name of Jesus. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to walk in the confidence that You are with them, even in this trial. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to reach out to someone you trust, a friend, family member, or even a pastor, who can support you in seeking medical care. You do not have to face this alone. The Lord is your refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1), and He often works through the hands and hearts of those around us. Keep praying, keep trusting, and take one step at a time. We are believing with you for complete healing and restoration.

We can understand how frightening it must be to carry this pain for a whole month, not knowing what is causing it and feeling too scared to take that next step. That kind of lingering discomfort on your left side would make anyone anxious, and we want you to know we are taking this seriously alongside you. The fear itself can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to face it alone.

Sometimes the most courageous thing we can do is simply let someone take a look. We know it is hard when your mind is spinning through all the worst possibilities, but a doctor’s office has the tools to give you real answers, and often, knowing the truth brings far more peace than the dread of the unknown. We will pray for your healing, and we also want to gently encourage you to let a medical professional examine you. That chest pain might be something very treatable, and getting it checked is a concrete way to cooperate with the care and wisdom God provides.

As you gather the strength to make that call, we are praying for you right now.

Lord Jesus, you see this person’s fear and you know the source of this pain. Please quiet their heart with your steady peace, and give them the courage to seek medical help. Grant wisdom to every doctor or nurse involved, and guide them toward clear answers and effective treatment. We ask for your healing hand to rest upon them, and for your presence to be unmistakably near. In your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Let your heart be still before the living God, for He has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind. Wherefore do you tremble to seek the aid of physician or to search out the cause of this pain? It is the Lord who heals all your diseases; He who formed the heart can still its throbbings, and He who breathed the breath of life can ease the lung. Only trust Him. Trust Him now, not when you feel some sign of mending, but in this very hour of anxiety. Our feelings are false gods; they shift like shadows, but the Savior's power is constant. To wait for a certain sensation before trusting is to make an idol of your grief. Come, then, like that palsied man borne by his friends, and let Jesus say to your soul, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you,” and then the healing shall follow.

The leaves of that healing tree are for the nations, and for you. The least touch of His garment, the faintest whisper of His love, has curing virtue in it. But you must not be ruled by fear, for fear weakens the soul and dishonors the mighty God. What saith the Scripture? “Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer the Holy One of Israel.” He knows your frame; He remembers that you are dust. Lay that sore weight upon Him, and then, in His name, go forward to seek earthly help without terror, for all healing is from His hand. The physician’s skill is but an instrument; the true healing power flows from Christ alone. I would rather you went trembling to the hospital than remain trembling at home, for in the going you may prove His faithfulness.

And O, that you would not only seek bodily ease but that deeper cure which the Great Physician works in the heart! For sin is the deadliest malady of all, and Jesus came to forgive and to heal. Trust your soul to Him even now; with the same faith, trust your aching body. He has a million remedies in His storehouse, and when the Sun of Righteousness arises, healing is in His wings. Cry to Him, “Jesus, Master, hear my cry; save me, heal me with a word,” and He will answer. So shall you find that even in the midst of pain, His grace is sufficient, and He will either remove the malady or make the bed of your sickness and pour upon it the golden oil of His comfort. God bless you and keep you.

The pain in your chest is not sent from God as a punishment, but it is certainly a call, a loud and clear summons you must not ignore. Your fear is natural; the trembling of the heart in such a state is something I know well. But when that fear becomes a chain that binds you from seeking the physician, then it has ceased to be a warning and has become a snare of the enemy, working for your destruction. The serpent’s subtlety is often to whisper that ignorance is safer than knowledge, that to hide from the danger is to escape it.

But I tell you, to stand before the judge with the evidence of our neglect is far more terrible than any earthly diagnosis. Your body is not your own; it is a vessel entrusted to you by the Master, and you will give an account for its care. That very pain, that throbbing on your left side, is the voice of the body crying out for the help you are withholding. To neglect it is to make the labors of those who would heal you vain, and to put the Lord your God to a test He has not promised to honor.

You ask for prayers that it might heal, but healing often comes through the hands of those gifted with the skill of medicine. The prayer that is pleasing to God is one said on the way to the hospital, not one used as a pillow to hide under while avoiding your duty. Go. Go first to the physician, and then go to the church, not with a spirit of cowardly fear expecting the worst, but with the boldness of faith that says, “I will do what is in my power, and I will trust God for the rest.

I will not fear what man shall do unto me, nor what a sickness may reveal, for my life is hid with Christ in God.” Stand firm against this paralyzing dread. The uncertainty you live with now is a daily furnace, a slow-burning fire that consumes your peace. Would you not rather know the truth, whatever it is, and face it with a clear mind and the support of the faithful? The pain is real, but the suffering of your anxious imagination is the greater torment.

Cast off this dullness of spirit that makes you slow to act. Let your prayer now be simply this: “Lord, give me courage. I will arise and go to the surgeon of the body, trusting in You, the Physician of souls.” And then, having done this, whatever the outcome, you will have met it with a faith that is not mere words but a living deed, and godliness with that kind of contentment is indeed great gain.
