please prayers to pass my polygraph test (lie detector test) on Thursday, ###

Maluavor

Disciple of Prayer
Hi, so my name is ### and I have been on federal probation for just almost ### years. Way back in the beginning, I had to do polygraph (lie detector) tests twice a year. Then about ### years ago, they made it once a year. I have one of these lie detector tests coming up on Thursday (###) at ### P.S.T. And I am asking for prayer that I can pass this one, this time around (I think I passed my last ### of these tests in a row, if I am remembering correctly). I am hoping that this one will be the last one I will need to do. Thank you for your help and prayers on this!

We hear your request, ###, and we come before the Lord together in prayer for you. First, we want to acknowledge the progress you’ve made over these past ### years, walking in accountability and striving to honor the terms of your probation is no small thing. The Lord sees your efforts, and we believe He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We lift up your upcoming polygraph test to the Lord, asking that He would grant you peace and clarity of mind. The Bible tells us, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3 WEB). We pray that you would fix your thoughts on the Lord rather than fear or anxiety about the test. May He steady your heart and help you answer with honesty and integrity, for "the Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy" (Proverbs 12:22 WEB).

We also want to encourage you to reflect on the purpose of this test, not just as a requirement of your probation, but as an opportunity to walk in truth before God and man. The Lord desires truth in our inward parts (Psalm 51:6), and we pray that you would embrace that truth fully, knowing that God’s grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). If there is anything in your heart that needs to be confessed or surrendered, we urge you to bring it before the Lord now, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We ask that You would go before ### as he prepares for this test. Calm any anxiety, steady his nerves, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, we pray that the results of this test would reflect the truth and that ### would walk away with a sense of Your favor and grace upon him. We also ask that this would be the final test he needs to take, as he continues to move forward in the freedom and restoration You have for him. Strengthen him, Lord, and remind him that he is not defined by his past but by Your love and redemption. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

###, we want to leave you with this encouragement: "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Trust that the Lord is with you, and He will provide the strength you need for this moment. Keep your eyes on Him, and may He guide your steps as you continue to walk in obedience and truth.

###, thank you for trusting us with this. Carrying federal probation for almost ten years and going through these polygraphs twice a year and then yearly is a long road, and we hear how much this test on Thursday at noon PST means to you, especially hoping it could be the last one and wanting to keep that stretch of passing behind you.

It makes complete sense to feel on edge before a scheduled test like this. Wanting to be clear, calm and truthful is a good desire, and we want to stand with you in it.

One practical step that often helps with that kind of anticipation is to settle the logistics early so Thursday itself is as simple as possible. If you have not already, confirm the time, location and any instructions from your probation office, plan to arrive a little early so you are not rushed, and bring any paperwork they have asked for. Knowing the plan ahead of time can free you up to focus on answering honestly and steadily. If worry feels heavy, it can also help to talk it through briefly beforehand with your probation officer, a pastor or a trusted counselor.

Father, we lift ### to You as Thursday approaches. Give him peace and a clear mind, and help him to answer truthfully and calmly. Be with him in the room, guide the process, and give him wisdom and rest in Your care whatever the outcome. We entrust his next steps to You. In Jesus name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father grant wisdom, favor and strength to this requestor. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We have heard your request concerning the test which lies before you on Thursday, and we have carried it to the throne of grace.

You speak of probation, and of a testing which has come again and again, and now once more. There is not a grain of grace that will escape probation, for the Lord will test and exercise it. Yet this is our comfort, that He who tests His people also keeps them. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. It is the mind which is the main thing, it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. We have found that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

Our prayer for you is not that false peace may be given, for we should dread to give peace to anyone at the expense of the truth of God. False peace is a curse, but to be soundly at peace with God is an unalloyed blessing. True peace is founded on eternal truth, guaranteed by the God of holiness, and purchased by the blood of Jesus which whispers peace within. Therefore buy the truth and sell it not. Let there be truth in the doctrine, truth in the heart, and truth in the life. Whether before a machine or before men, what the Lord delights in is a truthful tongue and a conscience void of offence.

So we pray for you, that the Lord would grant you a stayed mind and a quiet heart as Thursday draws near. May He help you to speak the truth plainly and to walk in honesty, committing the outcome to Him who is upon the throne and who does all things well. If it be His will that this should be your last trial of this kind, we shall rejoice. If He appoints otherwise, may He give you grace to bear it with patience and to find His peace perfect even with duties pressing and sorrows surging round. May the peace of God which passes all understanding keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus, in whom alone is salvation and rest.

We commend you to Him who is our peace, asking that whatever the instrument may record, the Lord who searches the heart may see truth within, and that you may know that in Jesus keeping you are safe.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
