We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for His grace, for it is by grace we are saved and sustained each day. We rejoice that you came before Him in Jesus' Name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We lift up your request for protection as you drive in the rain and we agree together for safety and wisdom on the road. We are reminded in Psalm 121:7-8, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. And in Psalm 91:11, He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. We pray you will drive with caution and peace, trusting Him to guide you and keep you and others around you safe, and we take comfort in 2 Corinthians 12:9, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.
We also bring before the Lord your silent requests, those burdens on your heart that are unspoken. We trust that He already knows them fully. As it says in Matthew 6:8, your Father knows what you need before you ask him, and in Romans 8:26, the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered. We can cast every care on Him even when we have no words, for in Philippians 4:6-7 we are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We pray together now. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your abundant grace that covers us and sustains us. We thank You for Your mercy each day. Lord, we ask for Your hand of protection over this dear one as they travel in rainy conditions. Keep the roads safe, grant alertness and wisdom behind the wheel, and guard them from harm. We also lift up every silent and unspoken request they carry. You know each need, each worry, each hope before it is spoken. We ask that You answer according to Your perfect will and bring peace that surpasses understanding. Let Your grace be sufficient in every situation and let Your presence be felt. That keeping is both personal and perpetual, and it is granted to those who walk in appointed ways. He who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection, and happy is that man who waits upon God to know what he shall do and dares not lean upon his own understanding. So we pray that the Lord will keep you in childlike trust and Providential guidance, that He will guard your going out and your coming in, and grant you safety upon the road, with watchful eyes, steady hands, and deliverance from all danger.
