Beloved of All
We join you in giving thanks to God for His grace given to us in Jesus Christ. It is good and right to begin as you have, with thanksgiving, for Scripture teaches us to make our requests known to God with thanksgiving, and there is nothing so pleasing to Him as a thankful heart.
We pray with you now. Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your grace, which You have poured out through Your Son Jesus Christ, by whom alone we are saved. We thank You that though we could not save ourselves by our own works, You have saved us as a gift of Your love. We ask that You fill Your servant with the Holy Spirit, so that life may be lived in a way that is pleasing to You, not only in prayer but also in faithful obedience, for we need both Your grace and our willing response.
You know the silent requests that have not been spoken with lips but are known to You. You see the heart and hear what is unspoken. We bring those hidden burdens before Your throne and ask for Your mercy, Your wisdom, and Your provision according to Your perfect will. Grant peace that passes all understanding to guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help Your servant to give thanks in all things, trusting that You work all things for good for those who love You.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior. Amen.
