Disciple of Prayer
that in 2 years my wife and I look back and thank God we stayed together please pray for my marriage and children that God keeps us together and that my wife trusts me again in Jesus name

We are standing with you in prayer and we thank God for your heart to honor your marriage and to fight for your family. Your desire to look back in two years and thank God that you stayed together is beautiful and it aligns with God's perfect will for marriage. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God, and what God has joined together is not to be separated. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Mark 10:9 and For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel Mal 2:16. The Lord delights when a husband and wife choose to remain faithful and to seek His healing together.

We hear your burden that trust has been broken and needs to be restored. Trust is rebuilt not by words alone but by consistent, Christlike love and truth lived out daily. If that trust was damaged by sin, failure, or unfaithfulness on your part, we encourage you to bring it fully into the light before God and before your wife with humble repentance and complete honesty. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We urge you to love your wife as Christ loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it Eph 5:25, with sacrificial, patient, and selfless love that seeks her good above your own. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things 1 Cor 13:7. At the same time we pray your wife will be given grace to forgive as God forgave us. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Eph 4:32. Forgiveness does not instantly restore trust, but love and forgiveness open the door for God to rebuild trust over time as you walk in faithfulness, transparency, and accountability, inviting godly counsel and staying rooted in prayer and the Word together.

We also lift up your children with you, for they are a heritage from the Lord and they flourish most when the home is built on Christ. Unless Yahweh builds the house, they labor in vain who build it Psalm 127:1. Your faithfulness to your marriage is a powerful testimony to them of God's covenant love. As you look ahead to the next two years, we encourage you to commit each day to the Lord, to pray together as husband and wife, to speak truth in love, and to trust not in your own strength but in Him. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Prov 3:5-6.

We join our faith with yours now and pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for this husband who desires to honor his vows and keep his family together. Lord, we ask You to place Your hand of protection and healing upon this marriage and upon these children. Heal every wound, wash away every sin that has been confessed, and restore what has been broken. Give this husband a heart of humility, integrity, and steadfast love, that he may be trustworthy in small and great things and that he may reflect Christ to his wife daily. Give his wife grace to forgive, comfort in her hurt, and faith to trust again as she sees Your work in him. Knit their hearts together in unity, cover them with love, for love covers a multitude of sins 1 Pet 4:8. Build their house upon Christ, guard them from the attacks of the enemy, and let them in two years and for all the years You give them look back with thanksgiving for Your mercy that kept them. Fill their home with Your peace, teach them to walk in forgiveness and above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection Col 3:14. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, through whom we have access to Your throne, amen.

We hear how much your marriage and your children mean to you, and we are honored you asked us to pray with you for the next two years and beyond. Wanting to look back with gratitude is such a hopeful way to frame this hard season.

Rebuilding trust after it has been shaken is usually slow and quiet. It grows not from one big promise but from many small, steady choices to be trustworthy day after day, and from giving your wife space to heal at her own pace while you stay consistent and open.

One thing that often helps is to ask her gently what would help her feel a little safer right now, and then listen without defending, and to keep a simple daily rhythm of checking in together for a few minutes. If you are not already, meeting with a trusted pastor or counselor together can also give you both a safe place to talk and be heard.

We are praying for you, your wife and your children in this.

Father, we lift this husband, his wife and their children to You in Jesus' name. Draw near to each of them, guard their home with Your peace, and give them wisdom, patience and humility day by day. Help him to walk faithfully and lovingly, help his wife's heart to heal as You lead, and keep this family together under Your care. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for your marriage and your children is a right and good prayer to bring before the Lord, and I join with you in it with all my heart.

It is the Lord who has ordained marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, cemented by mutual love, wherein the two become one. What God has joined together, let not man put asunder. To desire to stay together, to keep the vow you made before God, and to seek the good of your children within that covenant, is according to His holy will. The Lord delights in faithfulness, in keeping covenant, and in the healing of what is broken.

You ask that your wife may trust you again. Hear then what the Scripture teaches concerning trust and restoration. We are to trust wholly in the Lord Jesus Christ, for He alone is able to save and to keep. And in our dealings one with another, trust that has been wounded is not restored in a moment, but by a steady walk of truthfulness, humility and grace. Remember Peter. He fell grievously, and yet the Lord looked upon him, prayed for him, and restored him. His fall was recorded that we might see the greatness of our Redeemer's saving power to lift up and restore. If you have failed, do not trust in yourself, nor in the firmness of your own resolutions, but look always to Christ to hold you up. And as you have been restored by His mercy, prove it by a life of double earnestness, by patience, by honesty without reserve, and by a tender, constant love that seeks her good above your own. Trust is rebuilt as faithfulness is proved day by day in small things and great.

I trust that before long you shall have cause to praise and magnify the Lord for His great mercy toward you and your household.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, in the name of Thy Son Jesus Christ, who alone is our Savior, we come before Thy throne of grace. Thou art married unto Thy people in everlasting lovingkindness, and Thou hast taught us the sacredness of the marriage bond. We ask Thee to set Thy hand upon this marriage and this family. Keep this husband and wife together according to Thy will. Guard their covenant from all that would divide. Give to this husband a heart to walk uprightly, to speak the truth in love, to be steadfast and tender, that he may be worthy of trust. Give to his wife grace to heal, to see true repentance and amendment of life, and in Thy time to trust again. Let their children be kept in peace and be nourished in a home where Christ is honored. Grant that two years hence they may look back together with thanksgiving and say, the Lord hath kept us and restored us. Do this for Thy glory, that the unity of the Spirit may be kept in the bond of peace. We ask not because we are worthy, but because Jesus is worthy, and His blood pleads for sinners. Lead this brother to trust Thy Son at once and wholly, for every need, for forgiveness, for restoration, and for strength to endure. Amen.
