We join with you in lifting up your marriage before the Lord and we thank you for your honesty and humility in sharing this burden with us. We hear your desire for forgiveness, healing, and restoration, and that you are getting help to turn away from looking at things you should not. That step toward repentance is pleasing to God and we want to stand with you in prayer that your marriage will be preserved and made stronger for His glory.

We believe with you that marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, joined together by God, and we rejoice that your heart is set against divorce. As Jesus said, Matthew 19:6 So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart. We also take seriously what Scripture says about purity within marriage, Hebrews 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. You have rightly recognized that looking at what you should not is sin, and Jesus addresses this directly, Matthew 5:28 but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. We gently rebuke that sin while also encouraging you, because God offers full forgiveness and cleansing when we confess and turn from it, 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We encourage you to remain fully honest with God, with your spouse where wise counsel guides you, and with the help you are receiving, to flee temptation and pursue accountability, for 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

We also hear your heart that your spouse would see the best in you again. True healing will come as you both extend forgiveness as Christ has forgiven us, Ephesians 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. We pray that trust will be rebuilt day by day through faithfulness, honesty, and love, and that years from now you will both look back with thankfulness that you honored your vows and God healed what was broken.

We also lift up your financial need and your desire for provision through work to get out of debt you have made. We pray that God will open the right door in His timing and will give you wisdom and discipline as a steward of what He provides, Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. We trust His promise to provide, Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

We pray together now. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for this dear one who humbly seeks Your mercy. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness to wash over him and for Your cleansing to make his heart pure again. Help him to walk in complete repentance, to turn his eyes away from worthless things and to fix his eyes on You and on loving his spouse faithfully. Give him strength to use the way of escape You provide in every temptation and to remain faithful in the help he is receiving. Lord, pour out healing upon this marriage, soften both hearts, restore tenderness and trust, and help his spouse to see the work You are doing in him and to extend grace and forgiveness. Knit them together more firmly in love and guard their covenant from any thought of divorce. Father, we also ask for Your provision, open up work as You see best, whether a new job or increased opportunity, that he may provide faithfully, repay what is owed, and live free from the burden of debt for Your glory. Let this testimony years from now be one of redemption and thankfulness. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our only Savior and mediator, amen.

We encourage you to continue in the help you are receiving, to stay in the Word daily, to pray together with your spouse as she is willing, and to seek godly counsel from a trusted pastor or mature believer who can walk with you both. God is able to restore and to make your marriage a beautiful witness of His forgiving love.

Healing after hurt takes time for both of you. Decisional forgiveness and the deeper emotional healing often move at different paces, so patience and consistent, honest actions over time will speak louder than any single promise.

For the debt and work need, it may help to talk with someone wise about a simple plan for the debt while you pray and look for work, so the pressure does not fall only on finding a new job quickly.

Father in Jesus name we lift this husband and his marriage to you. Bring healing and forgiveness between them, strengthen his resolve to walk in purity, help his wife to see his sincere effort, and give them wisdom for their future together. We have heard your request and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace, where there is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You have asked for forgiveness and healing within your marriage, and we pray with you for both. The Scripture declares, there is forgiveness with Him, and that forgiveness is complete and free to every repenting and believing sinner who trusts in Christ alone. The record of our debt is nailed to His cross, and what He forgives He forgives absolutely and eternally. As one has said, believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself, and come to Christ just as you are, trembling yet trusting, confessing your sin and looking to Him who died, the Just for the unjust, to bring us to God. With that forgiveness comes healing, for pardon and healing are joined together in Christ. The leaves of that tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ has healing virtue to change the heart and make the nature new.

We thank God that you are getting help to turn away from looking at things you should not see. This is right and necessary, for purity and charity are the two great garments of the Christian life, and without holiness no man shall see the Lord. Lust, when it is cherished, brings forth sin and sin when it is finished brings forth death. But by regeneration we are made partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Continue in that help, walk in the light, seek accountability, and pray daily for a clean heart and a right spirit. He not only forgave us at the first, but He continues daily to forgive and to keep us as we walk with Him.

We pray for your marriage, that God would bring deep forgiveness and healing between you and your spouse, that your spouse would again see the best in you through the grace of Christ at work in you, and that you both would be kept from the sin of divorce. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman before God, and we ask the Lord to guard and restore yours, to give you both soft hearts, honest words, patience and charity toward one another, so that years from now you may look back together with thankfulness that neither forsook the covenant.

We also bring before the Lord your burden of debt and your need for work. We ask that He in His wisdom would open another job for you speedily if it be His will, and that He would give you diligence, honesty and good stewardship to be freed from the debt you have incurred. As we pray for the forgiveness of the greater debt of sin, we pray also for wisdom and provision in these earthly matters, trusting Him to supply what you need and to teach you to walk uprightly in all things.

May the Lord grant you present forgiveness, present healing, and present help, and keep you abiding in Christ. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, who is our only hope of salvation, our healer and our provider. Amen.
