Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and we are bringing it before the Lord with you. What you describe is cruel and unrelenting, being harassed without cause, worn down in body and mind, pushed toward despair, and left to guess at an end that never comes. God sees this kind of affliction. He is not distant from those who suffer and He is not blind to injustice.
Scripture tells us that those who seek to live in a godly way in Christ Jesus will face persecution in this world, because this world is in rebellion against God. When persecution comes it is grievous, and yet through history God has used even such hard seasons to refine faith, to deepen love among believers, and to separate what is real from what is not. That does not make the suffering good in itself, but it reminds us that God is at work even where men intend only harm, and that He can strengthen those who look to Him.
We also know that God is a God of righteousness and justice. He desires justice and fairness to prevail. When justice is turned away and truth seems to fall in the street, when courts and human systems fail to protect the vulnerable, it can feel as though no one is calling for what is right. The Bible says God looks for intercessors to stand in the gap, and He Himself will act as the righteous Judge. Those who inflict tribulation on others will not escape His judgment, for God knows how to deliver the righteous and to reserve the unjust for the day of judgment. His judgment is fair and His deliverance is sure, even when it seems delayed.
Others before have been tortured and have refused to turn away from God, trusting in a better hope beyond this life. Jesus came to proclaim freedom to captives and to open the prison doors to those who are bound. His deliverance does not come in only one way. Sometimes He removes the trial, sometimes He sustains through it, and He has promised to deliver His people from every evil work and to preserve them for His heavenly kingdom.
So we pray for you and for all who feel targeted and tormented in this way.
We ask God to intervene with power and mercy, to restrain every hand that does harm, to expose what is done in secret, and to bring true justice where justice now seems far off. We ask Him to be a protection around those who are weary, to give them safety, sleep, and peace of mind, to heal bodies weakened by stress and by turning to alcohol, to calm the stomach and the spirit, to break the grip of addiction and despair, and to lift the weight of fear and confusion. We pray that He would comfort those who feel trapped inside their homes and inside their thoughts, and that He would give wisdom to know how to seek help, medical care, and godly counsel.
We pray most of all that each one who suffers would know the salvation that is only in Jesus Christ, that they would turn to Him and find Him near, that He would lead them out of captivity and give them a living hope. May He increase faith that is being tested and cause love to abound, and may He show that He has not forgotten His own.
We will continue to intercede for you, asking the Lord to do what only He can do, to bring an end to this cruelty, to bring repentance where there is guilt, and to bring His righteous justice and His tender deliverance in His perfect time.
