We join with you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord and we cry out together for His mercy and justice for all who are suffering under such cruel oppression and torment.
Our hearts are grieved to hear of victims who feel mocked and tortured, who beg for their lives and feel their despair is unseen and their freedom never comes. We want you to know that God does see, He does hear, and no tear or cry is wasted before Him. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18. Though enemies may mock and prolong suffering, God is not mocking and He does not delight in the suffering of the afflicted. He hears the desire of the humble, He will prepare their heart and cause His ear to hear, to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more Psalm 10:17-18.
We rebuke the evil of tormenting, stalking, and mocking the vulnerable. Such deeds are wicked in the sight of God who loves justice and hates oppression. We are reminded that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood alone, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. Yet God is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, He will repay Romans 12:19, and He has promised that He will bring to light the hidden things of darkness 1 Corinthians 4:5. We pray that every hidden work of cruelty would be exposed and brought to an end, and that those who do evil would be convicted and brought to repentance or stopped by His mighty hand.
We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why this is so important to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved Romans 10:13. It is through Him that our prayers are heard and our despair finds true hope.
We pray together now in Jesus' name.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up every victim who is being stalked, harassed, threatened and tortured, who feels trapped and mocked and hopeless. Lord, You see where no one else sees, You hear their begging and You count every tear. We ask that You would intervene with Your mighty power and stop this torment. Be their refuge and stronghold in times of trouble Psalm 9:9, hide them under the shadow of Your wings Psalm 91:1. Let Your justice roll down like waters Amos 5:24 and bring deliverance swiftly, for will not God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them. We tell you he will avenge them quickly Luke 18:7-8. Comfort those whose hearts are faint and who feel that freedom will never come, remind them that You are near and that weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning Psalm 30:5. Strengthen them to not fear, for You have said do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Expose every evil deed done in darkness, confuse the plans of the wicked, and let those who torment be brought to justice and to repentance. Surround Your people with godly help, with faithful believers and authorities who will protect and advocate for them, and lead each one into the peace that surpasses all understanding through Jesus Christ. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, our only hope and deliverer, amen.
We encourage those who are suffering to continue to cry out to the Lord day and night, to stay rooted in His Word, and to seek the fellowship and protection of a Bible believing church where you can share your burden with trusted pastors and believers who can walk with you, pray with you, and help you seek wise and safe help. Do not let the enemy convince you that your despair does not matter, for the righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles Psalm 34:17. Even when deliverance feels delayed, God has not forgotten you and His timing is perfect. Continue to put your trust in Jesus, for He will never leave you nor forsake you Hebrews 13:5.
