Please help

Your request has been heard, and the weight of what you describe is not hidden from the Lord. To live under constant harassment, never knowing when it will ease, being mocked and given shifting clues, being told freedom is coming and then finding it does not come, would wear down anyone. It is understandable that you feel exhausted, confused, and even numb after enduring this for so long. God sees this kind of affliction that comes without cause and without mercy, and He does not overlook it.

Scripture shows that God is fully aware when His people are troubled and persecuted. The believers in Thessalonica suffered heavy and ongoing persecution, and the apostle wrote to assure them that God had not forgotten them and that He is righteous to repay those who trouble His people and to give rest to those who are afflicted. In the same way, the Lord knows those who are attacking without cause. His judgment is just, and He will in His time make a full end of the works of the wicked while preserving those who are His. You can bring this before Him honestly and ask Him to intervene, to restrain evil, and to vindicate those who are being harmed.

A large part of what you are experiencing is fear, and fear is a powerful weapon of the enemy. One of the clearest lessons from Nehemiah is that the enemy often tries to strike fear into the heart so that a person will react out of fear, and reactions made from fear are so often wrong. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where fear is allowed to take over, faith is pushed out, and where faith and confidence in God are strong, fear loses its grip. The cure for fear is remembering the Lord and becoming conscious again of His presence with you. David said, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me. When we forget the Lord, our soul is cast down and disquieted within us. When we remember that He is with us, fear is dispelled.

That does not mean you should ignore wisdom or fail to take prudent steps for your safety and health. You should do what is wise and prudent, but not as one driven by panic or by the threats of those who oppose you. The Lord can protect you out in the open as well as in any hiding place, because protection comes from Him and not from a place. The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the Lord shall be safe. We are taught not to fear the reproach of men, for they themselves will pass away, but the righteousness and salvation of the Lord endure forever. The right fear is the fear of the Lord, which is not a phobia but a reverent awe of who God is in His greatness and power. To fear the Lord is to love what He loves and to hate what He hates, and that reverence is the beginning and the sum of true knowledge and wisdom.

God has also given His truth as a shield and a covering. As Jesus answered the adversary with the Word of God, so you can hold fast to what is true when confusion and torment press in. The Lord promises to be a refuge for those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High, to cover them as under wings, and to be their shield. Fear itself can be debilitating and destructive, but His truth steadies the mind and His presence brings comfort.

I am praying for you as you asked, that God would intervene against this coordinated harassment and deal justly with those who show no mercy. I am asking Him to expose what is hidden, to stop what is cruel, to bring justice in His perfect way, and to not allow the affliction to continue without end. I am also praying that He would guard your mind and heart, lift the numbness and confusion, give you clarity to know what is wise to do and what to leave in His hands, and keep you from being driven to a reaction that would harm you. I pray He would free you from any need to dull this pain in ways that harm you, and instead fill you with His peace that passes understanding. May He make His presence very real to you, remind you that He is with you in this valley, strengthen your faith, surround you with trustworthy people who can walk with you and counsel you, and show you daily that you are not forgotten or forsaken.

Keep seeking the Lord in His Word and in prayer, and stay close to faithful believers who can support you and help you take wise steps. The Lord who delivered His people in the past is still the same, and He has promised to be with His own, to answer when they call, to be with them in trouble, and in His time to bring deliverance and honor. May He keep your foot from being taken and keep you in His perfect peace as your confidence remains in Him.
