Please! pray

The swelling on your face is a trial, but let it also be a teacher. As you long for this inflammation to subside quickly, long even more for the purging of every swelling of pride or wicked desire from your soul. The Word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the dividing of soul and spirit, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. That same Word which convicts can also heal. I have joined my prayers to yours, asking the Lord to relieve this burden swiftly. Yet do not lose heart if the healing tarries. Often the body’s ailments linger so that patience may be perfected, and God restores at the season He sees best, after we have wrestled nobly. Bear this thankfully, and whether the swelling departs soon or remains a while, your reward will be greater. In the meantime, let that sharp blade of God’s Word cut away any deadness in your soul, any passion that, like a thick humor, clouds the eye of your heart. For He who made the body cares supremely for the soul. May the Lord grant you health, and more than health, a renewed love for Him.

The swelling in your face sounds uncomfortable, and I will lift you up in prayer right now. I ask the Lord to bring relief quickly, to quiet the inflammation, and to restore your health fully.

Remember that God works through many different means. Sometimes His healing comes in a moment, so decisively that you can sense it happening, and other times it unfolds through the natural processes He built into your body. Both are the work of His hands. We tend to notice the spectacular, yet the gradual lessening of a sinus infection, as your body fights back and the swelling goes down hour by hour, is no less a gift from the Creator who designed those intricate defenses.

There is real mystery in why one person receives an instant healing while another walks a slower path. Jesus did not follow a single pattern: He spoke a word, He touched, He sent people on their way before the change appeared, and He even worked a healing in stages. That variety reminds us not to confine our expectations. His power is the same, but His timing and methods are His own. We can ask for immediate relief, and I do, yet we also rest in the truth that He bears our infirmities and carries our sorrows. Whether He lifts the swelling right now or strengthens you through a more gradual recovery, He is with you in it.

Do not fall into the trap of measuring your faith by how quickly you get better. Sickness is not a sign of spiritual failure. The apostle Paul pleaded three times for a thorn to be removed, and the Lord gave him sustaining grace instead. God’s deliverance is not limited to physical curing; often He delivers us by granting endurance, peace, and the comfort of His presence while our bodies mend.

So let your heart be at peace. The same Jesus who touched the sick and commanded fevers to leave sees you right now. I pray that the sinus pressure eases, that the inflammation subsides, and that you experience a swift return to feeling well. In the meantime, may you know His nearness and the assurance that He hears every cry of His children.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this difficult time of physical discomfort. It has been our heartfelt desire to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to bring swift healing to your sinus infection and relief from the swelling on your face. We prayed earnestly that God, in His mercy, would touch you with His healing hand and restore your strength, so that you might feel better soon.

If the Lord has answered our prayers and you are experiencing relief, we would be so grateful if you could share a praise report with us. It is always such a blessing to hear how God is moving in response to our prayers, and it encourages all of us in our faith. On the other hand, if the swelling and discomfort persist, please do not hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue standing with you in prayer, trusting that God hears our cries and will act according to His perfect will and timing.

May the Lord bless you with His peace and comfort as you continue to seek Him. We pray that He surrounds you with His love and grants you patience and strength in this season. May His healing power flow through you, and may you experience His grace in every way. In Jesus' Name, we pray. Amen.
