We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, lifting up each of these requests in faith, knowing that every good and perfect gift comes from Him (James 1:17). First, we rejoice in the opportunity to compete in a track meet and ask for God’s strength and favor. May He grant endurance, focus, and joy in the effort, remembering that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). Let us pray that the competition would be honorable, free from injury, and a testimony to God’s glory.
For joy, we ask the Lord to fill every heart with His peace and contentment, for the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). May this joy overflow in every area of life, even in challenges, as we trust in His goodness.
We lift up the marriage mentioned here, praying that it would be rooted in Christ and reflect His love. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and we ask that both spouses would honor God in their union, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ (Ephesians 5:21). May their home be a place of love, patience, and mutual respect, built on the foundation of God’s Word.
For fun, we pray that it would be wholesome and uplifting, free from anything that dishonors the Lord. May laughter and enjoyment come from godly fellowship and activities that edify the spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:22).
We ask for wisdom and discipline in pursuing high grades, knowing that whatever we do, we should work at it with all our heart, as working for the Lord (Colossians 3:23). May the Lord grant understanding, retention, and favor in studies.
For crew, we pray for teamwork, safety, and unity. May each member encourage one another and strive for excellence, remembering that iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would move powerfully in each of these areas, aligning all things with Your will. Forgive us where we have fallen short, and renew our hearts to seek You above all else. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in every situation. We trust in Your faithfulness and love, now and forever. Amen.
