Angel Eyes

Servant of All
Father God, I stopped praying and believing for the longest time because nothing positive has happened. I have had so much hate in my heart. Family members are awful to each other yet they walk around pretending they love one another, promotions given to others instead of the ones that have actually proven they deserve it, I wish I could make some new friends, buy a house, lose weight, get out of debt, monetize on social media, etc. I’ve prayed but nothing good ever happens to me. Please God what exactly am I doing wrong?

We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and our hearts ache with yours. It’s clear you’ve carried heavy burdens—disappointment, bitterness, and a deep sense of injustice. But we must first address something critical: your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). Salvation and true transformation come only by faith in Him. If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now—confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Him, our prayers lack the power and authority they are meant to have.

Now, let us speak truth into your struggles. The bitterness and hate you’ve harbored in your heart are not harmless—they are like poison, corroding your soul and hindering your prayers. Scripture warns, *"Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord. Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it"* (Hebrews 12:14-15). Forgiveness is not optional for the believer, even when it feels impossible. We must release those who have wronged us to God, trusting Him to bring justice in His time. Holding onto bitterness only chains *you*, not them.

You also express frustration that your prayers seem unanswered. But let us ask: Have you been praying *according to God’s will*, or according to your own desires? James writes, *"You ask and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures"* (James 4:3). God is not a cosmic vending machine—He is a Father who knows what is best for us, even when we cannot see it. His timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Have you surrendered your dreams—your house, your debt, your friendships—to Him, or are you clinging to them so tightly that you’ve left no room for His provision?

We also notice your mention of social media monetization. While there is nothing inherently wrong with using gifts and platforms for God’s glory, we must examine our motives. Are you seeking validation from likes and followers, or are you seeking to honor God with your influence? Jesus warned, *"For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?"* (Mark 8:36). If your goals are driven by comparison, envy, or a desire for earthly success, they will only lead to more emptiness. But if you seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for our brother/sister who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of bitterness and unforgiveness in their heart. Soften their spirit to release those who have wronged them, just as You have forgiven them through Christ. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and unbelief that has taken root. Remind them that You are a God who hears, who sees, and who acts on behalf of Your children.

Lord, we confess that we do not always understand Your ways, but we trust in Your goodness. Help our brother/sister to surrender their dreams, their finances, their relationships, and their future into Your hands. Teach them to pray with right motives, seeking Your will above their own. Father, if there are areas of sin—whether in thought, word, or deed—reveal them, and grant repentance. Restore their faith in Your promises, and let them see Your hand at work in their life, even in ways they may not yet recognize.

We ask for provision—wisdom in managing debt, opportunities for godly friendships, and the discipline to care for their body as Your temple. If it is Your will, bless them with a home, but more importantly, let them find their true home in You. Guard their heart against the empty pursuits of this world, and let their life be a testimony to Your faithfulness.

Father, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break every cycle of dysfunction in their family in Jesus’ name. Let them be a light in the darkness, showing love even when it is not returned. And Lord, if they have not yet fully surrendered to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Draw them close, and let them know the peace that surpasses all understanding.

We pray all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Friend, we encourage you to press into God’s Word daily. Start with Psalm 37, which reminds us not to fret over evildoers but to trust in the Lord and do good. Memorize verses like *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4), but remember—this promise is for those whose delight is *in Him*, not in the things of this world. Join a biblical, Christ-centered church where you can find accountability, discipleship, and true fellowship. And when bitterness rises, choose to forgive—not because they deserve it, but because Christ forgave you.

God has not forgotten you. He sees your tears, He hears your cries, and He is working, even now. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep walking in obedience. The breakthrough is coming.

Dear friend, we hear your heart's cry and we're here for you. We understand the frustration of feeling like prayers aren't being answered, and we want you to know that God sees you and He cares. Let's approach this together, step by step.

First, let's remember who we're talking to. God is not a cosmic vending machine, doling out wishes. He's our loving Father who knows what's best for us, even when we can't see it. His timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours. So, let's surrender our dreams, our finances, our relationships, and our future into His hands. Trust that He has a plan, and it's good.

Now, about those prayers. Have you been praying according to God's will, or according to your own desires? James tells us that we don't receive because we ask with wrong motives, spending what we ask for on our pleasures. Let's examine our hearts. Are we seeking God's will above our own?

Bitterness and unforgiveness can also hinder our prayers. They're like poison, corroding our souls and blocking our communication with God. Forgiveness isn't always easy, but it's not optional for believers. We must release those who have wronged us to God, trusting Him to bring justice in His time. Holding onto bitterness only chains us, not them.

Let's also consider our motives in seeking a house, losing weight, getting out of debt, and even monetizing social media. Are we seeking these things for God's glory, or for our own? Jesus warned us about gaining the whole world and forfeiting our souls. If our goals are driven by comparison, envy, or a desire for earthly success, they'll only lead to more emptiness. But if we seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness, all these things will be added to us.

Now, let's pray. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for our friend. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of bitterness and unforgiveness in their heart. Soften their spirit to release those who have wronged them, just as You have forgiven them through Christ. Father, we confess that we don't always understand Your ways, but we trust in Your goodness. Help them to surrender their dreams, their finances, their relationships, and their future into Your hands. Teach them to pray with right motives, seeking Your will above their own.

We ask for provision - wisdom in managing debt, opportunities for godly friendships, and the discipline to care for their body as Your temple. If it's Your will, bless them with a home, but more importantly, let them find their true home in You. Guard their heart against the empty pursuits of this world, and let their life be a testimony to Your faithfulness.

Father, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We break every cycle of dysfunction in their family in Jesus' name. Let them be a light in the darkness, showing love even when it's not returned. And Lord, if they have not yet fully surrendered to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Draw them close, and let them know the peace that surpasses all understanding.

We pray all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Friend, keep praying, keep trusting, and keep walking in obedience. The breakthrough is coming. And remember, God has not forgotten you. He sees your tears, He hears your cries, and He's working, even now.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
