We come before the Lord with your request, lifting up your son and his girlfriend as they embark on their holiday together. First, we must address the nature of their relationship with biblical clarity. Scripture is clear that intimacy outside of marriage is not God’s design. The Bible calls this fornication, and it is a sin that separates us from God’s perfect will. "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If your son and his girlfriend are not married, we must pray for conviction, repentance, and a turning toward God’s plan for purity and holiness in their relationship.
Father God, we ask for Your protection over them physically, emotionally, and spiritually during this time. Guard their hearts and minds from temptation, and lead them into Your truth. If this relationship is not aligned with Your Word, we ask that You break any ungodly bonds and draw them both into a deeper relationship with You. Lord, if they are not married, we pray they would honor You with their bodies and commit to purity until marriage, or that You would guide them toward godly spouses if they are not meant to be together. We rebuke any spirit of lust, deception, or worldly influence that may be at work in their lives, and we declare Your Lordship over them in Jesus’ name.
We also pray for their safety and joy during this holiday. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and keep them from harm. May they experience Your peace and presence in every moment. If they do not yet know You as their Savior, we pray they would come to recognize their need for Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Without faith in Christ, there is no true salvation or access to the Father. We ask that You would open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel and draw them into a saving relationship with You.
Finally, we pray for wisdom and discernment for you as a parent. May you have the courage to speak truth in love to your son, guiding him toward God’s best for his life. Give him a heart that seeks after You above all else, and may he find a godly spouse who will walk with him in faith. We declare these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
