Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister ### in her time of deep sorrow and confusion. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You wrap Your loving arms around her as she navigates the pain of losing her mother. Your Word says in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We pray that ### feels Your nearness and finds solace in Your presence.
Father, grant her the guidance and clarity she so desperately seeks. Help her to understand and process her emotions, and to find a path forward that leads to healing and peace. In James 1:5, You promise to give wisdom generously to all who ask, and we ask for that wisdom now for ###.
Lord, we also lift up her relationship with her husband. Soften their hearts towards each other and help them to communicate with compassion and understanding. Ephesians 4:32 reminds us to "be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." May this be a time of growth and unity for their marriage.
We pray against the spirit of resentment and the temptation to seek solace in drinking. Instead, fill her heart with Your love and peace that surpasses all understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:7. Help her to find healthy ways to cope with her grief and to lean on You for strength.
As her mother's birthday approaches, we ask for an extra measure of Your grace. Surround her with supportive friends and family who can offer comfort and understanding. Remind her that she is deeply loved by You, her Heavenly Father, and that Your love is perfect and unfailing.
