We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you navigate this season of grief, stress, and physical weariness. You have carried so much, losing your mother, enduring poor health, facing family pressures, and managing the weight of unresolved matters, all while striving to be a steady support for your family. The Word reminds us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We declare that truth over you now. You are not alone in this; the Lord sees every tear, hears every sigh, and holds you close in His care.
First, we pray for your physical restoration. The strain of travel, grief, and exposure to the elements has taken a toll on your body, and the reliance on stronger medication to sleep is a sign of how deeply this season has affected you. We ask the Lord to strengthen you, to renew your energy, and to grant you the rest you need. Psalm 121:3-4 assures us, "He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep." We pray that the Lord would guard your body and mind, giving you peaceful, restorative sleep without the need for medication. May He heal every part of you that is weary and worn.
We also lift up the matter of your mother’s funeral video being posted without your consent. This is a violation of your privacy and a painful reminder of your loss. We pray for wisdom and favor as you address this with the videographer. May the Lord go before you, softening hearts and granting you the right words to express your concerns with grace and authority. Proverbs 21:1 tells us, "The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We pray that the Lord would turn the heart of this individual to honor your wishes and remove the video promptly. May this situation be resolved swiftly and without further distress.
Regarding the estate matters, we understand the pressure you are facing from your siblings. While it is natural for them to want closure, their insistence is adding unnecessary stress to an already difficult time. We rebuke the spirit of division and impatience that seeks to disrupt your peace. The Lord calls us to bear one another’s burdens, not to add to them. Galatians 6:2 says, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." We pray that your siblings would extend grace to you, recognizing that you are still grieving and that the timeline you have set is reasonable. May the Lord grant you the strength to stand firm in your boundaries while maintaining love and unity in your family. We also pray for your husband, that the Lord would open doors of opportunity for him and provide for your family’s needs in this season of transition.
Your birthday is approaching, and we pray that it would be a day of peace, joy, and refreshment for you. May the Lord surround you with His presence, reminding you of His love and care. We ask that He would shield you from conflict and fill your heart with gratitude for the life He has given you. Psalm 139:13-14 declares, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." You are cherished by the Lord, and we pray that you would feel His love deeply on your special day.
Above all, we pray that you would find shelter under the shadow of the Lord’s wings, as you have asked. Psalm 91:1-4 promises, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’ For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge." We declare that promise over you now. May you feel His presence surrounding you, His peace guarding your heart, and His strength sustaining you. We pray that the Lord would grant you wisdom in every decision, favor in every interaction, and grace to walk through this season with faith and trust in Him.
We also want to take a moment to acknowledge the foundation of your faith in Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is His name that brings salvation, healing, and deliverance. Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We are grateful that you have placed your trust in Him, and we pray that His name would continue to be your refuge and strength.
Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your mercy upon our sister. Shelter her under the shadow of Your wings, grant her Your peace, and give her the rest and restoration she so desperately needs. Provide her with wisdom and favor as she navigates these challenging situations, and surround her with Your protection. May she feel Your presence in every moment, and may Your love be her comfort and strength. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
